Melanie98: Maybe, we shall see how it goes hahaha
Spidey95: I think a celebratory Skype session is in order, don't you?!
Melanie98: Sure, but I'll have to put you on in the background cause studying :)
Spidey95: Cause every night she studies hard in her room...
Melanie98: Don't, cause I'd like to think I'm badass enough to sneak out when I'm meant to be studying, but I'm really not, I just want to get into Uni XD
Spidey95: Fair enough haha And I've sent you a video call request on Skype, see you thereeeeeee
I opened up my Skype app on my laptop that was set on the desk I front of me, with my text books and stuff between me and the laptop. The perfect study space. Within seconds, Michael's face was up on the screen, looking cute as ever.
"You look adorable with your glasses on," he said, and through the grainy quality of the video call, I could see a pink tint on his cheeks.
"Shut up, Clifford," I brushed off the compliment as I opened my purple highlighter and began to highlight the Shakespeare quotes.
"How's tour going?" I asked as I glanced up at Michael with a grin before turning back to my work.
"Oh amazing," Michael jumped into a blow by blow account of everything that was going on and it was cute to hear him ramble on and be so passionate about what the band was doing.
"Anyways," he sighed after a few minutes of him talking and me humming and nodding in response, occasionally looking up to him. "How's life with you?"
"Amazing because I only have two exams left and I'm coming to see you guys, and I got an offer for uni!" I said happily, giggling at the shocked smile on Michael's face.
"That's amazing! What is it to study, cause I know you couldn't decide between English or Art."
"English literature, but I've also been offered to do some art electives!" I said excitedly, putting my highlighter down and clapping happily. I couldn't wait to start university and get out of this boring town. Don't get me wrong, I love home, but after nearly 17 years I was ready for something new.
"Michael, we need to go-oh, is this Melanie?" Calum came from the side of the screen into view, waving at me with a wide smile as Michael mumbled a yeah, clearly a little agitated that Calum invited himself into the conversation.
I gave Calum a short, awkward wave, immediately retracting into my shell and getting shyer and shyer once more.
"He never shuts up about you, ya know!?" Calum chuckled happily and I couldn't help but blush, Michael himself also blushing.
"I'll let you guys jet off, these quotes aren't going to learn themselves," I said with a smile and Calum waved a goodbye before walking off.
"So, talking about me all the time, huh Clifford?!" I wiggled my eyebrows at Michael who bursted into laughter, which in turn caused me to begin laughing.
"Something like that, yeah," Michael said before we said our goodbyes and he left.
God I love those weirdos.
