It was the day of engagement. The hall was itself looking like a bride. With a chandelier in the centre, and small lights and mirrors around it.

At one corner there was a little inclined platfrom with a sofa, for the bride and the groom.

The hall was full of people, all dressed in traditional. From kids to the senior-citizens, everyone seemed to be cheerful.

When I saw the bride, it felt like I've seen her before.

She was wearing a dark blue saaree, with a perfect hair-do. Her back was towards me but when she turned I knew who she was.

It was Meera, Sameer's sister. Which meant that Sameer was somewhere around.

I even confirmed it from Krishna.

"Hey, what's the name of the bride?"

"Meera. Meera Khanna." he replied.

"What is it Megan?" Anushka asked.

"She's Meera!"

"I know that. He just told us a few seconds ago."

"Oh god! Meera, Sameer's sister!"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Anushka. I'm damn sure!"

"Really?" Krishna asked excitedly.

"Oh great! That means, he must be somewhere here only." she looked around.

"Exactly!" I cheerfully replied.

"I wonder why I didn't know." Krishna said.

"How would I know that." Anushka replied.

I waved towards her but maybe she didn't notice.

I looked around; almost everywhere but he was nowhere.

I thought to meet Meera after the ceremony.

I asked Arprita, Meera's best friend to tell her to meet me after the ceremony.

Everyone was in all that glam but then I was dying inside to see him.

When everyone was busy dancing, Aditya invited me to dance with him.

"Hey!" He came to me.

"Hello!" I replied.

"You look pretty." he complimented.

I was wearing a red saaree with a thin black border, with my hair open.

Sameer always said that I looked the prettiest with my hair open, in a simple way.

"Thank you!" I laughed.

"So, will you give me the privilege to dance with you?"

"Me? Ah! Okay!"

He took my hand and we danced for a while.

"So? Are you single." He asked while spinning me around.

"I guess so, perhaps if I wasn't, I would not be dancing with you here."

"You're wity." He laughed.

"And you're right!" I laughed.

While I was dancing with him, my heart started beating faster and it felt like before.

It felt like Sameer was around. I could taste and smell it in the air.

Seven years, after seven years that feeling came along.

I looked towards the door with great curiosity.

"What is it?" Aditya asked.

"Excuse me. I'll be right back." I said and ran towards the door.

"Hey?" Aditya shouted.

"Megan? Which colour should I... Hey where are you running to?" Amaya shouted.

"What happened?" Shivanki asked Amaya.

"I really don't know." Amaya replied.

"I'll catch you guys later!" I shouted.

I bumped into a waiter, carrying wine glasses. Though those glasses fell on the floor only.

"Hey! Watch out!" the waiter shouted.

"Oops! Sorry!" I smiled and continued running.

And then I bumped into a group of friends who were trying to take some pictures.

"Sorry! Sorry!"

"Are you a child!" one of them shouted.

"What type of creature are you?" Another shouted.

"I bet she must have seen some doughnuts!" Aditya laughed and said.

Anushka and Amaya stared at him.

"What? She said she loves doughnuts."

"Whatever!" Anushka replied.

And finally I ran out of the hall, crossing the big, brown door.
