10. Chapter 24, Blue Eyes

Idk why I like this one, I just think it's an interesting chapter.
(If you are going to read this, this is when Laurance is held captive by Tu'la. For the ones who haven't read it... Sorri)

Laurance's POV

I was looking out the window, listening to the wails of other prisoners. I wish I could help them... "Well, well, well!" A man with pink armor starts. I whip my head around, making eye contact with him. "What do you want?" I growl. The man gets a good chuckle out of my defense. "I wouldn't talk back if I were you." The man says "Why not?" I ask "Because I can have you overboard just like... That." The man snaps his fingers. "GUARDS! TAKE THIS FOOL OVERBOARD!" The man yells. People in pink armor scramble over to my cell, unlocking my chains and pushing me to the deck. They throw me onto the deck, just to pick me up again and throw my closer to the edge. "You wouldn't..." I stare out at the vast seas. "Watch me." The same man from earlier says. "Now!" The helmet head orders. His little minions throw me overboard, small bubbles circling around my body. A bright light flashes in my eyes. The binds untie from my wrist and ankles, the light now disappearing. I look down at my arm to see red and black armor lining it. Negative thoughts burst around in my head, but I ignore them an me swim up, gasping for air. "Ello there, lad!" A voice calls out. I ignore it and continue watching the ship disappear in the distance. "Ello!" The same voice calls again. This time I whip my head around to see a man on a canoe in the ocean. "Why're you in a canoe.. In the ocean?" I ask, suspiciously. "For knowledge of course! An ol' man has to learn someway!" The man replies. "I'm Laurance." I introduce halfheartedly. "Chad Augustine!" The man says. "Come on, lad! A Shadow Knight such as yourself shouldn't be in the ocean!" Chad insists, waving me onto his boat. I quickly turn out of that form and hesitantly get on the canoe, cautious about not trying to knock it over. "Beautiful blue eyes you have!" Chad compliments. "What? I have green eyes..." I trail off. "Not to me!" Chad rows closer to the Ru'aun region. He hands me a mirror, me observing the baby blue eyes plastered on my face. "How'd this happen?" I ask "Whenever a Shadow Knight's in the water while they're in form, a part of their body turns blue when they're in their regular form. You're lucky that it was your eyes instead of your hair or limbs." Chad explains. I take a small breath of relief. "Let's get to Ru'aun." I trail off as we head to the region ahead.

9. Chapter 13, Lowell's Greeting

I really like how Lowell is represented in this chapter. Even know Lowell hasn't been seen in a while (in the more recent chapters) I still love his character and hope to do more with him in the future.

Aphmau's POV

Aaron, Garroth, Zane, Vylad and I all choose to go to the arcade! We walk thru the mall, soon finding our way into the arcade. "Last one there's a rotten egg." I challenge. "It's on!" The four boys yell in unison. I start running before any of them. Soon, Aaron catches up to me "No fair, you're a jock!" I yell while we're bolting down the hallway. Garroth's behind me, and Zane's in the back with Vylad in the middle of them. I look at Aaron, but I fall to the ground. The four of them immediately stop and rush over to me. "I am so sorry." I apologize, helping the person pick up his or her things. The four boys make sure I'm ok, then go to the arcade to get tickets. "Sorry." The voice says, it sounds like a boy. More so a teenage boy. I look up to see a guy (About my age) with brown hair and stormy gray eyes (Much like Nicole's). One thing I notice about him is that he has white streaks cascading in his brown hair. "I'm Lowell." The boy introduces. "I'm Aphmau." I smile. He gets up, lending me a hand. I accept his offer and grab his hand, getting up. "Want to come to the arcade with Aaron, Garroth, Zane, Vylad and I?" I offer. "Sure!" Lowell accepts. We walk back to the arcade, deciding not to run since of what happened before. "Guys! Meet Lowell!" I catch the four boys attention, and they walk over to us. "Lowell, meet Aaron, Garroth, Zane and Vylad." I motion to each of them as I say their name. "Is Aaron your boyfriend?" Lowell whispers in my ear with a grin. "Ew! No! Aaron's my brother!" I exclaim. The four boys look confused, as Lowell and I burst out laughing. "Garroth, Zane and Vylad are brothers, and my friends." I stop laughing, and so does Lowell. He raises his eyebrows at me a few times in a playful manor. The six of us laugh, "Come on, guys. Lets play games!" I drag them over to air hockey. I challenge Lowell since he doesn't know the guys that well, or even feel comfortable around them. "First one to 10 wins." Lowell says. I nod. Garroth and Zane are going against each other, leaving Aaron and Vylad as enemies. Lowell starts, me hitting the small puck and it flying to Lowell. We continue this, along with everyone else until I eventually get to 10 points before Lowell. It was 9 to 10 (Guess who won, THIS GIRL!). "You owe me a soda." I say as Lowell and I walk up to the concession stand. "What? Where'd that come from?" Lowell questions. "Well, I won. Remember?" I nudge him. He chuckles, then pulls his credit card out. "Oohh! You guys are such a cute couple!" The worker compliments. Lowell and I blush bright red "W-W-We're not d-dating..." Lowell stutters. She leans on the counter "You guys should be a couple." (The worker is a woman) Her New York accent makes her words pop more. Lowell and I look at each other, frantically shaking our heads no. She chuckles at our innocence as we turn back to her. "So, what can I get you guys?" She asks. Lowell gestures to me to order first. "Can I have a coke please?" I order. She nods, "What about you, Sir?" The worker says. "I would like a sprite... Karen." Lowell smiles. I look at her nametag, it says 'Karen' on it. Hm. She gets us our drinks, Lowell pays then we leave. "Thanks, Karen!" Lowell and I thank. "Have a nice day!" She waves us off. We meet up with Aaron, Garroth, Zane and Vylad. Aaron pulls me aside, leaving Lowell with the Ro'Meave brothers. Irene bless him... "What's up, Aaron?" I ask, casually. "Are you an Lowell dating?" He questions. "What? No! We're just friends." I answer. "You guys look like you're more than just friends. I would stay away from him when it comes to a relationship stand point, until you know each other better." Aaron suggests. "We were never thinking about dating... The lady at the concession stand said the same thing... Or that we were a 'cute couple'... But that's not the point. We aren't even thinking about dating, I mean, I just met Lowell. I'm no player, Aaron. You should know that." I finish talking, then I walk off to the Ro'Meave's and Lowell. I look back at Aaron, and wave him over. He glances at me, quickly averting his eyes. He walks up to us, talking with Vylad and Zane. Garroth joins Lowell and I in our conversation, him being butted out of the one with Aaron, Vylad and Zane. "Hi Aphmau, hi Lowell." Garroth greets. Lowell and I both look at him, Lowell smiling. "Hey." I reply. Garroth walks up to us and we start talking. By the time the six of us finish, we're all in a big group. As we're walking out, the fire alarm goes off. I look up and see that we're all getting soaked. I don't mind water, but it isn't exactly my favorite thing in the word. Lowell looks worried "Lowell, what's wrong?" I question. "N-Nothing..." He runs off. "Lowell!" I try to chase after him, but he's much faster than I am. At least I got his number so we don't loose contact. I walk back to Vylad, Garroth, Zane and Aaron, and they're soaking wet. Aaron has his hood up, Vylad already had his mask on, Zane pulled up his mouth-wrap, and Garroth just put a bag over his head. "Where'd you get the bag?" I question. "It was on the ground." Garroth replies. I must of had a look of disgust on my face, because he blushes in embarrassment. I pull my jacket over my head "Come on, guys." I motion them towards me. We walk out, and I start to feel warm. I turn my head around and see a glowing fire. We're at the mall doors "GUYS RUN!" I yell, the fire enlarging. It gulps up stores in seconds, it growing bigger. The water took it out earlier, but it was back, and larger this time. The five of us start running frantically out of the mall, meeting Lowell outside. We bring our masks and jackets away from our faces (And Garroth just throws the bag away). Zane pulls his mask over his mouth again, and Vylad takes his away from his nose. Aaron keeps his hood up, and he never took the mask off. I bring the jacket down from my head and smooth out my hair, then walk up to Lowell. He engulfs me in a hug "I'm so glad you're ok." Lowell swings me around lightly, then releasing seconds later. "I'm glad you're ok, too. I thought you were gone..." I look up at him. "Right here." He smiles "Can I ask you something?" I ask. "You already did, but sure." He says, cheekily. "Why were you so worried in there?" I question. His body tenses up, his joy drained and filled with worry. "U-Uhh... N-No, d-don't worry about t-that..." Lowell stutters. "Uhh... Ok..?" I say. His body softens, him going back to his joyful self. He checks his phone "Well, I better get going my tribe-- I mean, my family is waiting for me. It was nice meeting you guys!" Lowell waves to us then runs off. "That was weird that he said 'tribe'." I say, walking back to the four guys. "He could be a werewolf..." Vylad guesses. "I mean, he did get worried when water was pouring down, not that it has anything to do with being a werewolf..." Zane says. "He also tensed up when you asked him about it." Garroth adds. "I told you he was weird.." Aaron reminds. "Ok, I get it, guys! There's something he's hiding from us, but we all have our things that we hide." I sigh. They looks a bit stunned at the stern tone I used. I shrug it off and start walking home, with the four of them following me. I walk in total silence while the boys talk. We soon get to our houses, Aaron and I say our goodbyes (Along with Garroth, Zane and Vylad) then part our separate ways.
