Happy reading!!
- Asher's POV-
I was sitting in my classroom. After lunch, I really didn't have any classes to teach. I don't teach the two periods after lunch. I got a call from dad to meet me at his office.
Yesterday was very frustrating. My car broke down and then I was stuck with her. She wasn't that bad but her presence distracts me from some reason. It's like I don't want her to be with her but at the same time, I want her to be with me. I am confused myself to why I want that. Maybe she is a lively company. Yesterday, I found out so many things about her. For instance she stands up for herself very well, she is very very stubborn, even bakes really yummy stuff, and she is a total feminist. If it were anyone else I'm sure I wouldn't have cared to drop there bag, but the way she told me to I just had to do it.
Why was I thinking about her in the first place? I don't have the answer to that question. It's like she is playing with my mind 24/7. After the essay, I couldn't stop myself to look at her during class. When my back is toward my students, I even felt her looking at me.
Why the hell am I thinking about that girl? She is just a girl, who has no respect for her elders. She can be so annoying sometimes. But it was so tiring yesterday. After I dropped her home I had to get the pick up to get my car for repairing then I took my other car to drop her bag. If she hadn't been coming with me, I wouldn't have had to take the highway, and I wouldn't be so tired right now. She must be mad at me right now as I had to cancel the test because I left my test paers at home. Again that was because of her as I was so worn out and sleepy in the morning I just couldn't think straight. Even the socks I am wearing are not matching.
Knocking on the office door, I entered "You called dad?"
"Yes, I did. Take a seat" dad said
"What do you need?" I asked, plopping down on the chair in front of him taking a cookie from the plate on his desk.
"Have some manners boy!" He said smirking at me. "I can fire you any time!"
"Really? You can do that for me!" I said pretending to be very excited. "Please fire me then. I'd love to get out of here!"
He rolled his eyes at my dramatic behavior. "So what am I here for?" I asked with a mouth full of his chocolate cookies.
"Our math department manager, emailed me saying that the books are old and we are almost running out of them. I need you and couple of students to buy 20 boxes of algebra and calculus textbooks," he ordered
"How many are they in a box?" I looked at him
"Around two hundred in each box," he stated
"Okay, I can manage this on my own. I don't need any student's help" I said
"Don't be stubborn, Asher. Take 5 students with you. The boxes are in the store, ready for pick up" he commanded
"But dad-"
"No ifs or buts. I heard about a couple of students recommending some books to the librarian. Give me their list. I will call them one by one," He said, grabbing a pencil and paper
"Aadila Imran, Muneer Ahmed, Wafaa Badia, Danish Ali and..." I tried to think
"And?"
"Fareesa Dasti," I said
