-Fareesa POV-
"Where the hell have you been?" bhai snapped at me as soon as I got inside.
"What's going on?" I questioned thinking what has gotten into him.
"Why weren't you answering my calls?" He asked me again.
"I didn't realize that you were calling. I was busy with something important," I answered, dropping the bag on the ground
He ran his hand through his hair, "Fareesa? Where have you been? Something terrible happened and we couldn't even reach you."
"What happened? Is everything okay?" I queried
"No! Fareesa-she-mom is in the hospital" he spoke
I stumbled back hearing the shocking news, "What?!"
"Fareesa? Please" he pleaded
"If this is a prank it's a horrible one so please stop this instant," I warned him harshly.
"You think I can talk about my mother like this?" He yelled at me this time.
"No! You are lying. That can not happen!" I yelled punching his chest
"Fareesa! Please" he cried out, grabbing my hand in his large once
"No! What happened to her? Is she okay?" I looked up at him with my watery eyes
"She had a heart attack" he spoke
"H-how?"
"She couldn't breathe properly all of a sudden and we rushed her to the hospital."
"Take me to her" I ordered
"They said we can't visit her. Her condition is critical. They put her under observation," he answered
"She has to be okay, right? She is okay?" I repeated stepping back
"Fareesa, dad is with her. Don't worry about it," he assures, trying to calm me down. Like that's gonna happen.
"How can you say that, bhai? She is our mother for god sake. I am worried about her," I yelled out
"Fareesa calm down."
"It's my mother you are talking about. I am worried about her," I yelled out, storming out the house
"FAREESA! FARESSA!" Bhai screamed out my name, walking behind my tail
I ignored him. Wiping the tears that were rolling down my cheek, I put the key in and turned the car on.
This is not happening to me. My mother has to be okay. I love her to death. She is the best mother anyone can have. If anything happens to her then I don't know how I will survive in this world. I don't know life without a mother.
I drove out of the house yard. From the rearview mirror, I saw bhai chasing behind the door. I am sorry bhai but I have to see my mother. She is important to me right now.
I drove out to the road continuously wiping my eyes to stop the tears from blinding my eyes. There wasn't much traffic otherwise, I could have gotten into an accident. I could see Bhai's car right behind mine honking continuously and then I lost him as he stopped at a red signal.
After a good ten minutes, I got there finally.
Parking in the hospital parking lot, I ran out the car to go straight to the hospital not bothering to lock it.
Stopping in front of the main desk, I asked: "Where is my mother?"
"Whats her name?" she politely questioned
