-Faressa POV-

It was the end of University and I was exhausted from all the work and classes that I had to take. My body ached in pain to the point where I can't move and just want to lay down on my bed.

Standing outside of the University, I waited for Asher to pick me up. He promised this morning that he will show up this time but he is late like the last time.

He promised that he will never be late like this but he didn't keep his word. I don't know what hurts me the most, him not picking me up or him breaking his promise.

My patience was running out and I would not wait any longer. I grabbed my phone and dialed his number. The first few calls he didn't pick up. It would go straight to his voice mail. The fifth time I called him he picked it up.

'Assalamu alaikum, where are you?' I questioned him, looking around

'Walaikum salam. I am so sorry for not picking you up on time. I was so busy that it slipped out of my mind' he said quickly

"I can't believe you, Asher! I have been in the University for the past 30 minutes, waiting for you to pick me up' I exclaimed in frustration

'What do you want me to do? I am busy here with something important. I apologized for not picking you up' he snapped all of the sudden

In shock, I pulled the phone away from my ear and looked at it.

What is wrong with this man?

I never heard him snap at me like that.

It hurts me to hear him yelled at me like that. I am not used to this kind of yelling. In my family, everyone used their inside voice. No one raised their voice at each other.

It was peaceful.

Hearing him yell, made me angry. I don't want him to raise his voice at me. Never in a matter of fact. It was not my fault that he forgot to pick me up.

I placed my phone back onto my ear, 'why are you snapping at me? I didn't do anything wrong. What is so important that you forgot to pick me up?'

'Don't worry about it' was his reply

'If you are going to answer me like that then fine! Don't make a promise that you can not keep' I yelled back, 'don't worry about picking me up. I will find a way to get home!'

In anger, I threw the phone in my bag and stormed out of the University.

White knuckles from clenching my fist too hard, and gritted teeth from the effort to remain silent. My the face was probably red with suppressed rage. I wanted to yell ad scream at him but I knew that there is no point of that.

I was furious at him. I don't know why we started to argue in the first place. All I asked him is that he is late to pick me up and what was so important that it slipped out of his mind. He just had to go his way of being arrogant and rude jack as*. Sometimes I feel the need to bang his head against a wall when he lets his anger get the best of him.

I sat tight on the brown bench outside of the University for the bus to come. It was around 5 in the afternoon and the bus comes around at 5:30. I got 30 minutes till the bus arrives. I took out a book and began to read until the bus comes.

When the bus appeared in front of me, I stood up and got in. After paying the bus driver, I took a seat next to the window.

(AFTER THE BUS RIDE)

Standing in front of the house, I knocked on the door, hoping that he is home by now. While he should be home by now. I knocked couple more time and remained there but he didn't open the door.
