"I'm home!" I yelled as soon as I entered the house and went to the kitchen to grab a cold water bottle. I then walked out and to the living room.

"In here!" Bhai's voice drifted from the lounge

I lazily dragged my feet to the lounge and muttered my Salam, slumping on the couch rubbing my throbbing temples.

I looked up when I heard two replies. Hmm, that's strange. Mom and Dad weren't home this time for sure as they had to go to the restaurant to check a few things. So who was the second person here? I looked up to find my smiling beautiful Bhabhi!

"Oh my God! No way!! Bhabhi, you're back!" I screamed in excitement, pulling her into a hug and mentally smacked myself for forgetting that she would be home

"Yeah she's back we all can see that," bhai retorted from beside her

"Forget him he's just jealous that's all," I told bhabhi smirking at bhai

"Aren't the husband's wife and sister traditional enemies? What's with you two being so sweet to each other?" He asked looking between us suspiciously

"Honey, that only happens in dramas " bhabhi stated, rolling her brown eyes.

"See his jealousy is speaking. Now he's trying to make us fight!" I said to bhabhi with a mischievous glint in my eyes making bhai snorted at us.

"Now that Fareesa is here, my wife has forgotten me!" He said dramatically. "It looks like these two girls are married!"

I rolled my eyes at his dramatic behavior.

"Wait Fareesa, why didn't Asher come in?" Bhai asked me.

"He was supposed to come in too? Isn't one whole hour enough for him to get on my nerves?" I said in annoyance

"Don't tell me you didn't have the manners to invite him in!" bhai scolded

"I forgot." I told him sheepishly "But you don't care if someone's annoying me?"

"You and Asher have always been like this, even when we were younger. And mostly it was your fault. So I am not worried at all." He told me

"My fault?!" I said incredulously. "And It was my fault too that we got a flat tire  and  his engine got busted too and I left my bag in his car?"

" You forgot your bag in his car?! How childish of you. And how did you even get home?  I feel bad for him; he even got a flat tire because you're too heavy!" He joked with me making me madder if that was possible.

"By the cab. And he said he'd drop my bag by 10 and Don't. Call. Me. Childish." I said through gritted teeth.

"Ok, stop it you too." Bhabhi intervened handling the situation. "Isn't this guy your best friend? So how does Fareesa know him? " she asked us

"Well for one he teaches calculus at her University too-"

"Thank God he's here for a few months only!" I said interrupting him.

"And when we were younger we used tease Fareesa so.." he said smirking at me.

"Ok Shahveer stop teasing the poor girl. She's already so tired!" Bhabhi said pushing him out of the living room.

It wasn't always like this. I mean, mine and bhabhi's friendship. At first, when Shahveer bhai was going to get married I was so mad as I always thought that we would lose our close relationship and grow apart.

And I used to be so rude to bhabhi at times before they got married. I was very ashamed of me. But then when they got married. I remember once I put some chocolate chip cookies to bake in the oven. Then I forgot about them after a while and the oven burned. When mom found out she got so mad at and was ready to lash out at me. But bhabhi took part of the blame and told mom that it was because she had called me to her room that I forgot about the oven. So she basically took part of the blame as I was so scared. And well after that incident, I started to respect her more and we sort of just clicked like old best friends and I got a sister that I had always wanted.
