•Callie's POV•

Alec barges into my room, "Are you ready-"

He stops mid-sentence as I put in my other earring.

"Whoa." He says, looking shocked.

I stand up and brush my dress back into place before looking back up to him, "You don't think it's too much?" I ask

He shakes his head and smiles, "You look great Waterbug." He grabs my hand and tugs me towards the door, "Now come on or we'll be late."

I pull back, "Two seconds I just need to grab my bag."

He rolls his eyes, "Just hurry up."

I make a face behind his back like a mature Luna and grab my bag before double checking everything.

My dress was stunning, I'll admit. It was strapless and a light peach colour which matched my tanned skin perfectly. It was tight at the waist in a corset type way, and puffed out at the hips to flow freely down to the ground.

Abby knew it was perfect the moment I stepped out of the change room, and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it too.

Honestly, I was quite surprised Abby wasn't here right now. But apparently she had some family thing on tonight so she wasn't allowed to leave the house, which she was very annoyed about.

I had kept an eye out for Jarrod all day, but I hadn't told anyone about what happened, I couldn't.

I'm not sure if I handled the situation the right way, or if I should have talked to him today, but I was too preoccupied with this ceremony and getting ready for it, I had no time to go find him.

I didn't know whether to tell Cason, I know I should, but part of me feels a little weak doing that. He's very protective, and I know that it's a good thing, but I need to manage this myself. After all, I was the one who started it.

"What are you doing up there? Taking a cat-nap? Hurry up." I hear Alec mind-link me.

Rolling my eyes, I head for the door and start descending the stairs.

A wolf-whistle grabs my attention and I flick my eyes up to see Cason smirking at me before his eyes rake my body.

"Typical" I mutter.

Although he looked good. Really good.

I don't know how, but Cason got out of this family event that Abby couldn't get out of. Not that I minded, Cason was my date and I couldn't be more thrilled that he was coming.

"Good evening Mademoiselle, may I just say that you look stunning tonight." He says, kissing the back of my hand.

I pretend to fan myself with my other hand, "Why thank you. You don't look too bad yourself."

He chuckles and holds out his arm so that I can loop mine through it.

"Everyone's waiting outside, lets go." He says.

I nod and we walk out, Dad smiles at me like a proud father and we all pile into the car to head to the ceremony.

The garden was beautiful, they had dressed it in abundances of flowers and ribbons. There were lots of people, many from Sam's pack and some from neighbouring packs.

The ceremony itself was good, Sam made a perfect speech and sounds like he's going to be a great Alpha, although it doesn't seem like he has a mate yet.
