•Callie's POV•

"You called?" I ask Dad as I enter the office of the Pack House, moving my shoulder a little as it's still tender.

I see he's with Uncle Josh, Trent, and Uncle Ryan.

"Yes, I need a favour." He replies, whenever he's in the Pack House or in Alpha mood he's all business.

"I'm listening." I reply.

"You're mum is going away for a week and I need someone to fill in Luna duties." He says.

I frown, "You want me to do it?" I ask.

He nods, "You might have to lead one day, I thought the practice would be good for you."

"But what about Aunty Claire? Shouldn't she do it since she's the Beta's mate?" I ask.

"Callie, do you not want to do this?" Uncle Josh asks.

I take a breath, "I think I can do it."

"Great!" Dad claps his hands.

"We'll all be here to help." Trent adds.

I nod, "I'm going to go home, I've just been for a run."

"Okay, I'll be home for dinner." Dad replies.

I wave to all the other guys and exit the room, walking transfixed down the stairs.

"Abby I need to talk to you, in person." I mind-link her.

"What's up?" She asks.

"Dad wants me to be Luna for a week." I reply.

"Yep, I'll be over as soon as I can." She says.

"Thanks." I reply smiling, I always know Abby will be there for me.

As I'm going to walk out of the door I almost run into Flora.

"Well someone's in a rush." She giggles.

"Sorry," I laugh, "I'm guessing you're a regular visiter here?"

She giggles, "There is something that keeps bringing me."

I smile, "You guys are so cute."

She beams too, "Thanks Cal, I can't wait until you meet your mate! I can just imagine how head over heels he'll be for you."

I play with my fingers, "Yeah, let's hope right." I laugh, even though it's more to go with it.

Flora's eyes flicker behind me and all I see in them is pure love, the kind you see when a couple look at each other on their wedding day.

I don't have to look behind me to know Justin is in the room.

"Callie, what brings you here?" He asks as he wraps Flora in his arms, she gladly sinks into him.

"I'm here for the Alpha, but I should get going." I reply.

"Getting rid of us fast are you?" He smirks.

I laugh, "Good one, I'll see you later."

"Bye!" They both wave.

"Be sensible and make good choices!" I yell.

Justin just turns around and winks at me before closing the door.

I just grin and shake my head, walking down the road.

It was starting to get into winter, the temperature was beginning to drop a little and goosebumps form on my arms, I cross them over my chest to regain body heat, being careful with my arm.
