•Callie's POV•

"Callie." Someone's smooth voice whispers to me.

I snuggle deeper into whatever I'm sleeping on.

I hear a small chuckle, "Callie, wake up."

Opening my eyes slowly, waking up in an unknown area. But as my eyes adjust, I realise it's only the room that Cason is recovering in.

And then I realise that I'm on Cason's hospital bed too, snuggled into his side.

I sit up, wiping my eyes and yawning, "Oh sorry, I didn't hurt you, did I?"

He just gives me small laugh and shakes his head, "It's a lot better today anyway, feels good."

I give him a smile, "Good."

He glances at the clock on the wall, "I thought you may have wanted to go to school."

I look at the clock too and see I have an hour until school starts, I smile back at him, "Thank you."

He smiles back and reaches for my hand, entwining it with his and bringing my knuckles to his lips.

Butterflies fly out of my stomach at the action.

"Callie, I need you home right now." My dad's voice calls through mind-link.

He hardly ever contacts me through mind-link, it must be urgent.

"Okay, I'm on my way." I reply.

I stand up off the bed and slip my hand out of Cason's, "Sorry, I really have to go. I'll come see you after school."

He quickly grabs my hand again and pulls me closer to him, pecking my lips softly, "Have a good day."

I smile at him, "You too."

With that I run out of the house and down the street, it was a ten minute walk home, but I could make it in five if I ran.

When I go through the front door, I'm surround by chaos.

Aunty Claire was quickly helping her ten year old daughter Summer tie her hair back, while Justin and Flora were standing in the corner of the room, whispering together. There were voices around the room everywhere.

"Leo." I say to the thirteen year old when I see him, "Have you seen my dad?"

He nods, "He's upstairs with my dad and Alec."

I give him a small smile, "Thanks."

I quickly rush up there too, and open the door to his office.

Everyone stops to look at me, "What's going on?" I ask.

Dad grabs a bag and starts walking towards me, "Callie, there's been some complications with your mother. I'm going to have to go and help her."

I stare at him in shock, "What kind of complications?"

He shakes his head and walks past me, going down the hall, I follow him.

"There's no time to explain, we'll talk about it when we get back." He replies.

"But you can't leave! Then we'll have no true Alpha or Luna with the pack." I say, trying to get my head around what's happening.

He turns to me again, now near the front door. The chaos around us had subsided, and everyone was just silently watching.

"You'll be staying as Luna, you're doing a great job Sweetheart really. Your Uncle Josh will be the Alpha in the mean time, and Alec will be helping him." He says.
