"Your daughter wants to go see Fifth Harmony," Demi said after she came out of the bathroom, tying her hair into a messy bun on top of her head. Trey set his phone down and looked at his wife as she climbed into the bed next to him.

"Who the hell is Fifth Harmony?" Trey asked as Demi giggled and pulled her phone out.

"It's this girl group. They were on X Factor. I'm pretty sure you've met them before at some award show or something. Anyways, she wants to go see them with her friends for her birthday. She also wants backstage passes and all of that," Demi explained as Trey furrowed his eyebrows, trying to figure out what this had to do with him. Lyric was at the age where she loved money so he was just gonna give her a whole bunch of it and tell her to go crazy.

"And you're telling me this because...?"

"She wants you to take her. I already offered but she told me that I don't have the connections that you do," Demi said with a giggle as Trey shook his head.

"Demi, you know how I feel about birthday parties. Why can't you take them?"

"I'm already gonna have to deal with them when they come back and they refuse to go to sleep because they're too excited from the concert. The least you could do is take them...and get backstage passes and meet and greets and whatever else she wants. I would understand if she was asking for something unreasonable but she's not, Trey."

"But-"

"Just make it easy and say yes Demi, I'll take her."

"Yes Demi, I'll take her," he grumbled as Demi reached over and turned off her lamp.

"You see how easy things are when we do them my way?" She leaned over and pecked his lips before laying down so that she could get the sleep that she desperately deserved.

The next morning at breakfast, Lyric was slurping the leftover milk from her cereal while Demi was packing her lunch before she had to go to work. Jacob was upstairs with his father still getting ready but a few minutes later Trey came down the stairs with Jacob on his hip and kissed Lyric's forehead before pecking Demi's lips.

"Hey Lyric did you already pass out the invitations for your birthday party?" Demi asked as she took Lyric's bowl and put it in the dishwasher.

"Yeah but I need an extra one. Kierra saw me passing them out and started crying because I didn't invite her. But we're going to see Fifth Harmony and her hair is always messed up! We can't meet them with her looking like that," Lyric complained as Trey quietly chuckled but Demi rolled her eyes.

"Give her an invitation, Lyric. She's still your friend. And if it's really that big of a deal, I'll fix her hair before you guys go," Demi responded. She really didn't know where Lyric got all of her attitude from because Demi wasn't like that at all.

"So daddy is gonna take us, right?" Lyric questioned as Demi nodded. She squealed and hopped off of the bar stool to attack her father with a hug. Trey sighed but still smiled because all he wanted was for his daughter to be happy and she clearly was.

"Thank you daddy! This is gonna be the best birthday ever!"

Trey truly didn't know who Fifth Harmony was. Even though they had posters of the girl group sprinkled all over the venue, he didn't recall meeting them or seeing them on X Factor. But Lyric and her six little friends were excited so he wasn't gonna ruin their mood. He just really wished that Demi would've come with him but she was watching Jacob and a Fifth Harmony concert was no place for a two year old.

They had to arrive at the venue super early because they had meet and greet passes. Even though the VIP experience came with a free t shirt, he still ended up dropping over $500 on merchandise for the girls. Maybe this is why Lyric wanted him to take her. Not just for the connections but because Trey usually bought her whatever she wanted when Demi was more hard to convince.

"Daddy, the line is this way," Lyric said as she tugged on his hand. The girls all bought matching shirts and Lyric made them wear the same colored shorts and their hair was in the same style. His daughter was a diva if he ever saw one.

They were the first ones in line but that's only because Trey had arranged for a longer meet and greet session. Trey entered the meet and greet section after they did but he instantly regretted going in there because of the six squealing girls. Lyric was attacking all five members with hugs then rambling like her mother often did when she was excited about something.

"Lyric, you gotta calm down," Trey said as Lyric nodded and took a deep breath.

"This is my daddy, Trey," Lyric introduced. Trey smiled and shook all of the girls' hands, not really caring about their names, then let them take their pictures. They took group pictures and individual pictures so they were in there for over thirty minutes. Then they got autographs before leaving to go get something to eat. It was only four and Trey was already exhausted.

"Thank you soooo much, daddy! You're the best daddy in the whole world," Lyric said as she stretched her arms out for Trey to pick her up.

"No problem, princess. You know I'd do anything for you. I hope you've enjoyed your birthday so far," Trey said as Lyric nodded and kissed Trey's cheek. It was moments like this that made it all worth it.
