"I hope you're okay with keeping our door closed most of the time," I commented as we passed another one. "Although I am one, I don't trust college kids."

"It's fine with me," Dean replied. "I agree, actually."

"Good." I smiled over at him.

Honestly, he was pretty cute. His eyes were unrealistically green and his cheeks were covered with freckles.

We talked as we made our way to Geronimo's for dinner.

I got to know more about Dean and his interests as we sat and waited for our food after ordering.

"So." I smirked at him as he played with the straw in his drink. "Do you have a 'special someone' in your life?"

"I'm not saying that was a stupid way to ask that question." Dean laughed at my wording. "But that was a stupid way to ask that question."

"Sorry." I smiled with him. "I didn't want to assume your sexuality or anything."

"Right. But yes, I kind of have a girlfriend," he answered. "And I'm straight."

I nodded, taking in the information.

"What about you?"

"I'm also straight and happen to be single," I told him, obliviously lying about it.

"Alright, cool." Dean shrugged as a waiter came by, bringing our food.

My eyes lingered on Dean as he watched his plate, immediately digging in to his meal.

I had been suppressing my feelings for boys since I was born. I definitely knew how I felt but I was too terrified internally to actually show it or tell anyone and there was no way my new roommate was going to be the first to know.

Dean and I talked more between bites of food and on the way back to our dorm. We had spent hours in Geronimo's just connecting with each other.

If anyone had seen us together, they probably would've sworn we were best friends with no doubt. I noticed how well our conversation flowed, which I took as a good sign for the upcoming school year. There was definite platonic chemistry between us.

"You know what we need?" I asked as we entered the room. "A fridge."

"We don't need a fridge." Dean shook his head, sitting on his bed to untie his shoes.

"I'm buying us a mini fridge tomorrow," I declared, sitting opposite him.

"I'm not arguing with you on this." He rolled his eyes.

"Good."

"Instead, I'm going to bed." He stood up and walked to his dresser to shuffle around in the drawers.

"You're not going to shower?" I looked at him, faking shock.

"I shower in the morning." Dean shrugged.

"Oh, okay. 'Cos if you didn't shower, I was going to have to request a new roommate."

"Well now you're stuck with me."

"Dang. That sucks."

"Shut up, you know you like me already." Dean turned around to change into his nighttime clothes.

I sighed and laid on my bed, respectfully keeping my eyes off of him.

"You don't even know," I whispered under my breath.

"What was that?" Dean called over his shoulder. "Did you say something?"

"No, nothing." I shook my head.

"Alright." He turned around once clothed again. "Goodnight, Cas."

"Night, Dean."
