Cas

I awoke half-naked with Dean absent from the bed. My head ached, but I pushed that away as I got out of bed.

All that was on my mind was Dean.

I had so many questions about the night before but he was already gone from the room. After pulling on some proper clothes, I went downstairs to find him asleep on one of the recliners in the living room.

The house was decorated from floor to ceiling in white, gold, and red decorations.

Everything looked pristine and ready for a wedding. I liked the idea that Bobby and Ellen wanted to get married in their own backyard. They both had grown up in small towns and neither were too keen on having a perfect, fancy wedding.

Deciding not to wake Dean for the moment, I wandered into the kitchen where Ellen was starting to prepare food for the reception which would be held inside after the wedding ceremony.

"Good morning, sweetheart," she greeted happily.

"You shouldn't be working on your wedding day," I told her, watching as she moved around swiftly.

"It's second nature to me," she disagreed. "I'm fine. Go find something more interesting to do."

"Let me at least help." I refused to move from the kitchen.

"Okay." She smiled and looked up from her cooking. "We need a cake."

"You don't have a wedding cake yet?" I asked, slightly shocked.

"I was planning on making it today."

"I'll do that." I nodded. "Do you have a recipe for one you want?"

She handed me a paper with the recipe printed on it and I started baking. I wanted to talk to Dean when he woke up.

After a while, I stepped away from the kitchen while my cakes were in the oven. Dean had disappeared from the living room while I was preoccupied with cake. I sighed and sat in the chair he had been sleeping in.

He didn't return for the rest of the time that the cakes were baking.

I decorated the cake with the colours of the wedding; red, gold, and white. Ellen complimented the finished results and I placed it in the refrigerator to keep it looking nice.

Eventually the afternoon wore away and I helped Ellen in the kitchen while it did, waiting for Dean to surface. When we were finished with cooking everything, she went to her bedroom to change into her dress.

I walked upstairs to change as well, into my fancy clothes. As I did, somebody rang the doorbell and the guests began to arrive. Jo ran past me on the stairs to answer the door.

"You look nice," I called after her, her dress ruffling behind her from her speed.

"Thanks," she shouted back, already almost at the door.

I continued on with my task and returned downstairs, where Dean was tying his tie in a mirror that hung on the wall.

He noticed me in the back and turned around.

"Wow," I breathed.

"Hey, Cas," he greeted with a small smile. "You look stunning."

"As do you." I couldn't stop staring into his impossibly green eyes. "I didn't know you could clean up this nicely. I guess I've never even seen you in a suit... You really do look ravishing."

"Thanks." Dean blushed and I reached up to straighten his tie for him.

"I wanted to talk to you," I told him.

"Can it wait? The guests are coming," he glanced toward the door as the doorbell rang.

"Y-yeah, I guess." I nodded as he excused himself to let Crowley and Kevin in.

Crowley watched me carefully and I frowned at him. He approached me right away, already dressed in his suit.

"Hi." He smiled. "I hope there are no hard feelings between us."

"Not from my side." I shrugged.

"Good."

We talked for a bit longer and I noticed him slowly inching closer to me as we did. The others started showing up and we joined them, but Crowley stayed by my side.

He pulled me away again after a while and upstairs to the end of the hallway.

"Crowley..."

"Cas. I'm sorry." He shook his head. "I thought I could forget my feelings, but I really want to kiss you."

"You what?" I stood there, shocked.

"Can I...?"

He leaned in too quickly while I was pondering about what Dean might think of this. Crowley's lips touched mine before I could think. I stood there for a second, not able to process the fact that he was kissing me.

The door opened next to us and I pushed Crowley away in time to see Dean standing there, a look of awe mixed with pain on his face.
