15: don't look for me

I woke up shivering from the ice cold air. Where am I?

Oh. Now I remember why I came up hear. I've decided to live up here for a while but I'll have to sneek back home to grab a few things. I also should probably get some food since I haven't had any in a while.

I carefully climbed down and looked at my phone.

Great.

I start walking back and see the house come into view. I noticed all the cars are gone so maybe no one is home. Right?

I quickly go around the back and climb up to my window. I slip inside and grab some pillows, blankets and pack a few bags of clothes. I also grabbed my toothbrush and other toiletries.

I grab some money and then sneek into my mum's room and take a lot of money. What I'm gonna need it.

I mean I do have a job at Starbucks but it doesn't pay that good.

I take anything else and leave.

Once I get back to the tree house I put everything down. My treehouse is quite advanced even though it's old. It has a shower a toilet and kitchen. It also has multiple rooms.

There isn't much else to do since I'm suspended but I guess I could go work to earn some more money.

1 week later.

I gave up on my Starbucks job since I don't get paid enough but I did join a new gang. We sell weed and split the money.

I've been made the gang leader since the old one bailed. We're all around the same age but alex's dad drinks so he gets us the alcohol. Everyone is really sweet and doesn't judge. There are 5 people in the gang in total.

Are all in the gang they've become my best friends. We all go to the same school and it turns out they ditched the whole week to hang out with me. Plus school sucks and they were suspended for 3 days for putting a cherry bomb in one of the toilets.

Today I have to go back to school. Michael had tried to call me everyday since I left but I always decline.

I met alex on the way to school and we walk together. He recently dyed his hair blue and it looks so good.

The only thing I'm annoyed about is luke. He will be there and will most likely tell michael I was at school.

"Hey april" Alex says.

"Yup" I smile.

"Can I ask you something" he smiles back.

"Sure" I reply.

"You know how me and the guys are in a band. Well we were wondering if you would come to one of our shows." He said nervously.

" of course I will. Now give me that cigarette" I giggle taking it from his mouth.

We both end up laughing the rest of the way to school. I stepped on the bud and sprayed perfume on us so we don't get caught.

We said goodbye and spilt ways.

Soon enough it was lunch. The guys all had detention so I went and got lunch.

Unfortunately luke had seen me and started walking over to me.

" where have you been?" He says.

"Why do you care?" I spit back.

" because michael is worried sick" luke says.

"Well I don't understand why because he doesn't care about me" and then I leave.

"Wait april" luke calls.

"Fuck off" I sigh.

" Just go talk to him" he says.

" Why should I" I turn around. " you heard what he said." I continue.

"It was just a joke. God. April" he huffs.

"Oh really is hurting someone a funny joke. Is making someone bleed a funny joke." I yell at him.

I see a look of worry flash through his eyes.

"Didn't think so" I laugh sarcastically.

"April are you okay?" I hear alex say.

"Yeah let's just go. Are the boys out yet?" I ask.

"Yeah" he says as we walk away from luke.
