I held my head. Why now?
Why in front of him?
"Shut up...." I muttered.
"What?!" Onyx asked.
"I said.... SHUT UP!" I screeched. I knew that Lucifer was getting a kick out of watching us fight.
"Why should I? You LIED to me!"
It soon occured to me, that the more we fought, the more power we gained. I finally realized his plan.
Onyx was indeed angry with me, but he understood why I kept quiet.
"Because it was for the best!"
In a blur we were both on our feet still yelling at the top of out lungs.
I clenched my fists as I felt my power returning from the anger.
At the same moment out wings both snapped open.
My beautiful wings I hadn't seen in a long time.
Lucifer finally caught on, and he was not happy.
"Stop it, both of you!" He shouted, standing up.
"STAY OUT OF THIS LUCIFER!" We both shouted.
"You two are going to hurt yourselves!" He now had his hands on the bars of the metal bird cage.
How ironic to trap angels in a bird cage.
"Lucifer, nothing you say will change out minds" In unison we grabs the bars and the whole thing exploded.
The force knocked Lucifer back into a wall effectively knocking him out.
Onyx and I looked at each other and nodded as we ran to the hall that led to the throne room.
It had been a while since I explored this huge castle, but I remember every inch of it.
I was so intent on getting to the throne room, it was a surprise when a hand covered my mouth and I was pulled into a empty room.
"Sorry, Asher was coming, didn't want to be caught." Onyx breathed out as he let go of me.
I nodded, "Thank you then."
It was silent.
"So he's not coming back?" These words were like a spike in my chest.
"He's supposed to. He made of gas, he should come back..." I gulped and real I,ed that the possiblity of him coming back now we're very slim.
Almost at 0%. But I wasn't giving up hope. He would come back, and he would fight.
I glanced around the room and saw a large window. I walked over to it. It held a view over the entire land of Enta Isla. It was beautiful even if the land was shrouded in a layer of dark clouds. The purple mixed with dark gray created an out of this world pattern. It almost seemed like you were staring at the galaxy as other colors mixed into it. The blues, greens, soft yellows, oranges, reds, and pinks crossed the sky as they intertwined.
A rainbow from a different world you could say.
"(Your Name), the coast is clear." Onyx whispered across the room and I shuffled back to the door, looking back one more time at the sky.
We plunged ourselves back into danger as we started back down the hall. Behind up we heard a loud growl and tell as if Lucifer had woken up. If he had, we were in big trouble. I think we both knew that.
So we changed course heading to the entrance of the large building instead of placing our life's in the hands of the puppet master.
"Run!" I yelled at Onyx as we pushed ourselves faster.
Simultaneously we looked back and saw Asher standing in the middle of the hall. A disappointed look of his face.
He mouthed, "Come back mom."
I couldn't help but stop. I was falling for it, but I didn't care.
My son and Husband were here. I really wanted to stay, even if I was a prisoner.
"(Your Name), Come on." Onyx seemed to be begging.
I desperately wanted to turn and run away, but I was frozen, staring at my son. My pride and joy.
Taken away not even a year ago and turned into a prodigy, and a canidate for a general.
"Think of Bear! He could be waiting for us right now to come back so he can fight with us!" Onyx pleaded. Instead of listening to my mind, my body moved towards Asher.
Stop! Stop doing this to me!
I was under a spell that I wanted to break. But I knew that I wouldn't be able to.
Help!
Onyx leaned towards me and grabbed my arm, yanking me towards his direction.
"Stop and think you idiot!" He hissed and I knew he was right. I was being irrational.
I knew where I belonged.
I yanked my arm away from him and ran down the hall to Asher, I wrapped my arms around him.
I belong here with my family.
I glanced back at Onyx who looked shocked.
That shock soon turned to a look of sadness as he slowly turned around and ran to the door and kicked it open and leaving the castle.
Maybe I'll see him again some day.
I looked up at my taller son and gave him a small smile.
"I better get treated better than a cage for choosing you, you dummy." He laughed and nodded.
"I'll see what I can do." He pulled away and grabbed my wrist dragging me back to the room where Lucifer lay still unconscious. He let go of my wrist and I walked over and sat on my knees looking over him for injuries.
I placed my hand on his cheek remembering the good times we used to have where we could sit and play games together. How had it come to this?
Oh yeah, the puppet master.
He's the cause of this.
I looked at Asher, "Can you accompany me to the throne room?"
He nodded and walked with me.
Once we got there, there he sat. Looking all high and mighty, as if he was God himself.
But he wasn't. He was the exact opposite. Satan himself.
"(Your Name)!" He acted pleased to see me.
"I thought you would've left your family behind."
"I wouldn't ever. Even if I had to sacrifice one to get to stay with two." I frowned.
It was a hard subject even if I made the decision in a split second.
A pleasant conversation.
The next second was an all out war.
A blur of black tackled Asher and I was shoved back into a wall.
"Onyx?" Onyx's wings were stretched out to their full length which was about a 20 foot wingspan.
"I wouldn't leave you behind (Your Name)!" He growled out as he swung Asher into a wall.
I stood, he put a grin on my face. I would fight, just so he wasn't alone.
Maybe we could win?
