Chapter 15

I held my hands to my ears and I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. I was done. I just wanted to go home, and by home I mean the One room apartment living with (Your Name) and Onyx. Laughing and being weird. The sobs wracked through my body as I cried. She had seen me at my worst. That was not okay. I was done. Maybe I shouldn't have come back, I should've let her fight her own fight. Now look at me, I'm a mess. I can't even stand up straight! To prove  it myself I tried to stand up. I fell slightly for trying to stand on my weak knees. 

"Bear!? Bear where are you?" I heard her voice. It was like a calming melody, yet it didn't calm me down. It only made me feel worse for scaring her. "Go away." I mumbled. And pressed myself to the door harder to keep her from trying to open this door. My breathing was labored as I felt my heart pounded. Her foot steps were getting closer. It scared me, I wasn't ready for it. I didn't wasn't her to come near me ever again.

I wasn't good for her. She needs to be with her real family.

In the silence I started laughing. Maybe it was because my thoughts were so absurd that it hurt. I should help here to get out of her and then leave her on her own. Though I don't think I can exactly turn back into a dying star.  I started coughing and slowly stood up. Emotionless I swung open only to see her (Eye Color) colored eyes staring into me. He hand was outstretched as if she was going to grab the doorknob that was no longer in front of her. 

"Bear." My name breathlessly flew from her mouth as she stepped back. She was appalled. I stepped out and kept my head down. I headed towards the cage room where she had woken up. Sure the cage was destroyed but there was something there I remembered that I needed to get. 

"Hey, Bear? Where are you going?" 

I turned a smile on my face. "I'll be right back!" I yelled happily.

I ignored her. My right eye twitched at her constant nagging. "Shut up." I muttered. She called again. "I said shut up!" I roared and stomped off. She was getting on my nerves and I had no idea why. She wasn't doing anything wrong. 

I walked into the room to see nothing but the crumbled cage and a knocked out purplenette who had been left there.

I shook my head and continued walking. I walked passed him and to the cage. It was destroyed, parts were melted to no good use any more. 

But the wings on top. There was nothing marring them. No scratches on the surface. No dents whatsoever.

I glanced around. This room had no other opening as far as the eye could see.

"Hey Bear! Where ya' been? (Your Name) has been waiting for you for a long time!?" Onyx shouted groggily from the doorway. He stood there along with Asher. Both were banged up pretty well.

"Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to come back from the dead!" I shouted back nervously.

I ignored him. It was for the better right? I'm doing the right thing, right? I'm so confused.... I can't even think straight. I need guidance that I shouldn't have. Man I'm so tired. When did I get so tired? I wish this was something that I didn't have to worry about yet it was. I soon felt tears rolling down my dirtied cheeks leaving nothing but a clear path in its wake. 

I gripped the sides of my head as I fell to my knees. What is this feeling? Why does my head hurt so badly?

It felt that someone was bashing in my head with a hammer. 

"BEAR?!" Onyx called.

~Onyx's P.O.V.~

Bear is scaring me. He wasn't himself and I don't think I could deal with that.

I ran to his side and he shoved me off. "Chill out Bear, what's going on?""I don't feel right, don't come near me." He whispered. (Your Name) came running in and my mind was swirling with thoughts and emotions. 

Come on, this is too crazy. What's going on?

She ran to his side. His reaction was almost the same as his reaction to me. Yet he seemed more gentle than he was with me.

"Please, I'm in pain. I could hurt you. I don't want this. Just go away." He gave a longer response.

She looked at me a worried expression plastered on her face. "What do we do?" She mouthed and I shrugged.

"I shouldn't feel like this. These, these thought that are swirling around in my head. I believe they are human emotions. I should not have these emotions. I am not a real human.... right?" He looked at us. His face stained with tears, his eye bloodshot and red. Overall, he looked horrible. Then again how could he not be, he wasn't aware of what was going on. 

Neither of us made a move which seemed to make Bear angry, yet he tried to contain himself as to not lash out at us. By now Asher had moved over to his father's side and was moving him out of the room in case something bad happened.

"I'm not human, RIGHT?" He seemed so desperate to figure out what he was. "I'm pretty sure you're not a human. You said you were a star right?" The words flew out of my mouth before I could swallow them down. The room was silent. Asher had gotten Lucifer out of here safely. Bear's eyes had visibly widened, yet he didn't seem satisfied with the answer.

"Then why do I feel like I'm forgetting something?" I felt my eye twitch and grit my teeth. "If you feel like you're forgetting something, then you supposedly think you're human huh? Well maybe you are and you lied to all of us. Maybe you wanted to get her killed. Maybe you felt the need to get rid of us yourself?!"

I got rid of all of my anger and full on yelled at him. (Your Name) seemed a bit out of it since it had been a while since she had seen me this mad before. Bear stood from his kneeling position, his hands lit up with blue fire. 

He swung his hand at me. I jumped back narrowly missing it by only a few centimeters.

I snapped my wings open and created my own fire.

He lifted his head to reveal bright blue eyes that seem to math the fire that was slowly leaping up his arms. 

"Why do you insult me?" He tilted his head, his hair swaying back and forth. 

I didn't want to respond for fear I would get burned. 

My coal black hair fell in front of my face. What is going on with him, he seems so out of it.

"You'll have to fight him Onyx!" (Your Name) called. That worried look in her eyes made me believe that she caused all of this. 

What happened in that throne room after I woke up and left? I mean, I saw all of the pictures and words on the walls, but I hadn't thought anything of them. Maou's body had been charred. He wasn't coming back. 

Wait, had Bear done that? Did (Your Name) see? It's that what' going on? 

I grit my teeth and planted my foot. Then I charged, my whole arm developing in purple flames. Guess I need to get rid of him now. Hope I don't get bashed on too much.

Now die.
