How long has it been? A month maybe? I couldn't tell. I felt lost. Onyx tried but, nothing was working. I just couldn't do anything. I missed him, maybe a little more than I should've.

He was like a little brother, he protects me.

He is family.

I sat at the edge of the bed and continued to look out the window, my concept of time has been lost. Onyx has been keeping me alive for who knows how long. He's been getting food and telling me to sleep and eat. Maybe I shouldn't be sad. But I just wanted him to come back.

Maybe he never would? That was a re-occurring thought that never seemed to leave my mind.

What would happen is Asher came back and killed me? Bear wouldn't be there to protect me, and my strength is super low...

I stood and glanced behind my Onyx had gone to sleep when I assured him that I would get some rest. I decided to comply with his wishes and walked to the side of the bed and climbed in, snuggling up to his side.

The next morning I woe up and looked up at Onyx. He had this big grin on his face.

"You slept!"

"Of course, I need to keep my strength up.." I mumbled and I felt him pull me to him and hug me tight.

"Get off." I said

He let go and sat up, "Go shower." He said staring at me. I stuck my tongue out at him.

"I'm older, I don't have to listen to what you say." He stared at me and I eventually gave up and stood heading to the bathroom to shower.

I stood in the warm water and I felt my muscles warm up to the point where I was no longer stiff and couldn't move.

After getting out and getting dressed I finally walked in to see Onyx cooking breakfast.

"Waffles?"

"Yeah, it's been awhile and you seem happier, so eat up!" He placed a plate on the table and I shuffled over and grabbed the plate sitting on the floor and shoveling the warm, fluffy pastry into my mouth.

"Mmm, you were always such a great cook!" I said through my chewing. I soon finished the plate as Onyx had just started his.

"I'm going for a walk!" I called out as I got dressed in a new outfit.

"Be careful, you never know who you'll meet or see!"

"I will dad!" I said sarcastically as I stepped out of the room.

Little did I know that I should've been more cautious and aware.

I was walking through town enjoying the fresh air when I caught a glimpse of purple hair.

I ignored it thinking it was some awkward teenager who had decided to be weird and dye their hair purple.

I continued to walk happily and even got some food for lunch since I walked for a long time. Afterwards I decided to head home and stretch my wings a bit. On the way I didn't notice the eyes on me until...

"Mom. I found you." Someone whispered and I froze.

"A-Asher.... What are you doing here?" I whispered, my voice wavered as I realized I had no defense and no strength.

I breathed heavily. The apartment complex was right there. If I ran I could probably get there.

I stood there and soon booked it when he had backed up slightly. I managed to get to the steps before he grabbed my wrist.
