I sighed and sat in front of the picture. I closed my eyes and let out a breath before allowing (Your Name) to take over. Which in truth was something that I had no idea she could do. We could've done this faster if I had known.
"Time to shine." I muttered before I felt pushed back. Almost as if I was in a coma. I was there, but I wasn't. I could think but I couldn't move. Was this how she felt? All the time? If I was stuck like this I would want to get my own body too.
This feeling made me more motivated(DETERMINED) to do the right thing and get her her own body back.
Once I came to that conclusion, I opened my eyes and I was back in control, and there was a boy in front of me. He was the physical embodiment of the guy in the photo.
"(Your Name) has told me everything Bear." He spoke. His voice was deep and it made me jump.
He stood, and I stood with him. I was much shorter than him, he was about a foot taller than me. He looked sort of lanky but the way he stood showed that he had muscle. The way he positioned himself gave an air of confidence though his eyes showed his weakness. He contradicted himself in every way and that confused me.
He also knew my name, which I was guessing was because of the girl that had taken over.
That reminded me that she hadn't spoken since the switch.
(Your Name)?
No response. This began to worry me greatly until the rough voice broke through again.
"She's not answering because she used the energy she had to keep the connection solid."
That one sentence made me shiver. It was as if I had made her use her energy. This made me stressed out. That alone made my stomach growl and my eyes widened.
"No..... No!" I held my stomach.
"What, are you starving yourself?" Onyx asked, his tone was much more light-hearted now than before.
I shook my head. "I never needed to eat before. It's only when I turn human that I start to get hungry and start to kill her...."
I glanced at him and I had to keep myself from laughing. The confused expression on Onyx's face was to much for me to handle.
"Okay, so I'm guessing that (Your Name) didn't tell you everything." "Yeah.... I guess you're right about that." "Well, let us sit down and I'll tell you my side of the story." I motioned to the table and we sat down on either sides.
"So your story?"
"Yes. Alright, It's a bit lengthy but very informational."
I cleared my throat and took a deep breath.
"I am considered millions of years old. This year was supposed to be the year I died. As I was falling I was happy. I would finally be put out. But fate had a completely different intention. I was hit and was knocked off course into a neighboring planet. This planet. After crash landing here I awoke as a mere human. Think about it, a star turning into a human. It's impossible! Yet it happened to me. A stray star passing by. When I woke up, the only things I could comprehend was the fact that I was no longer in the vast universe about to die. No, I was a young man with no hope of returning to where I came from. After a while of trying to figure out things for myself, I found this place and (Your name) presented herself to me. It became clear that I wasn't going to go home, because I was destined to be here. I found flaws with myself though. I could be killed, and I could come back. I couldn't eat and I need nothing but sleep. I wasn't normal among all of the other humans. And most of all..." I stopped and gave a small sigh. " I found out that I was capable of human emotions. Something I learned that I cannot control. This scares me beyond belief. I don't know what to think about it. I still can't believe that this isn't some twisted cruel fate that was crafted just for me. That it wasn't intentional. It was pure chance that I was that passing star."
I stopped. I was rambling. I glanced up at Onyx and his face showed pure intrest in my speech. Well, my story.
"That's a great story. But I doubt that its real." Onyx spoke, a smirk playing on his lips. Was he trying to provoke me?
"It is very real." He scoffed. "Where's your proof." That tipped me over the edge.
I wanted to hurt him, I wanted to make him stop. But I knew that now wasn't the right time. If I was to bring (Your Name) back, I needed his trust in me. So right now. I needed proof. But there is no proof in the way that I got here. Sure, there is the crater from my landing, but what are the odds that he would think I made that. I mean, I'm a small human being.
I sat there and the smirk slowly faded off of Onyx's face.
"Bear? Everything alright?" He reached out to touch me and I backed up. When I did, he did too.
"What do you mean?" I said shakily and he composed himself.
"I'll believe you." My eyes widened. "You will?!" "On one condition." I nodded. "Don't do that ever again." He motioned to me and I shot him a confused look. Then I lowered my gaze to my body, what I saw was a blazing inferno of gasses and I smiled. I looked like a human star.
I nodded and reached out to shake his hand. He slowly reached out to shake mine.
I shuddered and regained my normal flesh and we shook on it.
"Deal!"
