You think I'm brave, strong,

You even believe I am funny.

You say I'm smart, pretty,

Some even consider me scary.

But, I know it's not true,

As I hide within my home.

Crying heard down the empty hall

As I feel my truest self

Who is leaning on the shower wall

Broken, battered little girl

She can no longer give it all

Screaming is relentless

Pain seems endless

As the masquerade ends

All alone, lost, in a shower stall
