The Arrival

I wake up to tubes and cords and other things hanging out of me. "She's consious!" I hear someone with a deep voice yell. I look up to see Shawn trying to get a nurse's attention. "Shawn." I try to say but there's a tube in my mouth too. "Hey kiddo. I know your scared but I need you to try not to talk. Okay? It's going to be okay. I'll go get a nurse." He says rushing out of the room. I wasn't scared as much as I was just happy to be awake again. I can't help but think where Riley and Josh are. I know Riley would be here no matter what. As I think of that my ears are blasted with the high pitched noise of a scream. "Peaches!" I hear from the door and within seconds, I feel a tight squeeze from the one person who I knew would hug me that tight without caring about anything else, Riley. She let go after a while but I could still feel her excitement from my bedside. Shawn rushed in with everyone including a nurse. Mr. Matthews looked at me and smiled, my mom was in tears hugging Shawn and I couldn't talk but I was showing my emotions well. The nurse removed the tube and disconnected all of the wires that were attached to me. I could finally talk. "What happened?" I asked. A few seconds after I say that, he walks in. "Maya" he says.
