As we go inside we hold hands. For some odd reason, I start to think. Is it right? Am I making the wrong choice? Is it worth the drama that will follow? Is he worth it? Am I worth it? All of this was rushing through my brain and apparently I couldn't handle it. All I saw was black and I felt trapped. All of a sudden I saw someone from a distance walking towards me. The closer they get I realize that it's a girl with long brunette hair. And once she is even closer I realize that it's Riley. "Riley! Is that you?" I ask. "Maya!" She says running towards me. We join in a hug and it settles me. As we are hugging I let go of her and as I pull away I notice that she's not there. All I see is the blackish place that I am in. "Maya. You need to understand before you wake." Her hushed voice replies to my fear. "What do you mean?" I ask. "You'll understand soon enough." She responds. All eyesight that I had was gone. I woke up with blue skies above me and cement beneath me. I look over to see a young girl with blonde hair laughing with a boy with darker hair on swings. I got up and looked around to find that I was at the old park by my house but they tore it down years ago. How is this possible? "Hey" I said to the kids hoping to capture their attention. Nothing. "Hello!" I said growing louder while waving my arms around. Again, nothing. I suddenly start to remember things that aren't there in the future. A light post sits in the corner of the old playground. I remember seeing it get torn down. Piece by piece I start to see all that changed here in the past five years. First the lamp post, then the slide, then, part of the swings, finally, well, all of it. I notice the kids again and it clicks. That's me and Josh the day we... kissed for the first time. It happens as it runs through my mind. I glance over to see young Maya Penelope Hart kissing young Joshua Gabriel Matthews. That was the beginning. This is when it all started. For once in my life something made sense.
