Getting to know each other

Jasper......

Maria. The one person I fully detest. She had ruined not only mine, but chars and Peter's lives too.

This time I'm gonna finish her once, and for all.

I knew I didn't like that Demetri guy. Not only am I being threatened, but my mate is too. He is putting her life at risk, for what? His own stupid theory of her being his mate.I should have ended him the first time i met him. Things would be much simpler. And maria? I shouldn't have been so naive.

The major was clawing to get out of his cage, wanting to strategise a plan that will ensure our mates safety.

I gripped onto Bella tightly, breathing in her intoxicating scent. "You're mine" I growl into her hair.

Bella realises how tense I am about this and turns in my arms so that she could wrap her arms around me. "Im yours" she assures me. Sending calming emotions to me.

After a few minuets of silence peter speaks up.

"What're we gonna do, Major?"
He asks.

Releasing a deep sigh i said,"I don't know, Captain. But that bitch and her little muppets aren't gonna touch my mate." I finished with a growl.The thought of Demetri being anywhere near close to my Bella was enough to make my beast rip at his cage.

I knew I had to calm him before he manages to break the bars, who knows how long He'd be out for?

A soft hand coming to rest on my cheek snapped me out of my seething thoughts,"shhhh" Bella cooed,"she's not going to harm me,Jasper. Remember , I can take care of myself now and if it comes to it, I know you can protect me too".

She sent me her faith and encouragement along with a small hint of an emotion I haven't felt in a while. I didn't have much time to think on it though as Bella was still looking up at me for my response.

Taking a deep breath in I spoke, "you're right" I sighed. I knew we could beat them, but i guess the tiny chance of us not winning scared me. I wouldn't know how to live if something were to happen to Bella. She was my life now.

Without saying another word to anyone, Bella gently grabs my hand and starts tugging me towards our shared suite.

No one says anything as they can obviously tell that I need this alone time with my mate to calm down.

Once safely in the confined space if our large room I pull Bella over to the large king size bed, laying down with her beside me.

Her hand comes up and starts to trace little patterns on my chest, causing a light purr to rumble from my chest.

Looking up she smiles.

Her red and blue eyes seemed to glow as we lay in contented silence.

"So beautiful" I softly whisper, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear.

Her smile widens, and if she were human,I knew she'd be blushing that beautiful red colour that always used to grace her cheeks.

The past few days Bella and I had spent together. I knew that the atmosphere had been stiff and tense so we both decided to have some fun in the meantime,alone.

We had spent alot of time getting to know each other. I found out that she had been really into reading, her favourite book being wuthering heights and she's always had a curiosity about the civil war.

I told her my story and more about my Bitch of a sire, Maria.

Before telling her about my past i had feared her reaction but Bella being Bella still stayed right by my side. In fact she wrapped her arms around me and told me how proud of me she was,she never does cease to amaze me.

Bella and I had spent the last few hours reading to each other. The silence was calm and peaceful, so quiet that a human would be able to hear a pin drop. So when a loud bang sounded throughout the castle it startled both bella and I, causing us to pounce up.

Sorry i haven't updated in a while. I have had NO ideas what so ever, so I'm pretty much stuck which is why i haven't updated. I don't really have any plans for the book at the moment so be prepared to wait. Any ways...... Hope you liked this chapter.
