Chapter 1: Moving Out
*Katherine's POV*
-------Few Months Later-------
I stood in my room gathering my bag full of my stuff. It was the last thing I had to pack. Since my mom died, I've struggled to pay the bills and keep the house. So I decided to sell it, quit my job and live with Justin. It was his idea and I thought it was a good one. All of my stuff was in two boxes in Justin's car. I didn't have much stuff even though I had a big room. It was mostly just empty space because I didn't really ask for a lot. I just had a TV, a bed, a small dresser, and clothes. But since Justin already had those things at his house in every room, I just gave those things away and packed my personal stuff. I didn't know what to do with my mom's clothes so I just gave it away. All her other stuff in her room were thrown away except for her jewelry. I wanted to keep those as a reminder and because they were expensive to buy. I now looked around at my empty room and slung my bag over my shoulder.
"Kath?" I heard a familiar male voice say.
I turned and smiled at Justin. "Yeah?" Our voices echoed through the room.
He stood at the door frame looking like a model. "Are you ready?"
I walked towards him. "Yeah."
We walked downstairs and out the door together to his car. I was about to open the door when I heard Casey's voice calling me.
"Kath! Aren't you going to say goodbye?!" She said having a hurt look on her face.
"Casey! Aren't you going to say hi?!" Justin said mimicking Casey. He was standing by me with his arm around my waist.
Casey looked over and rolled her eyes playfully. "Hi Justin."
He smirked,"Hey."
A couple months ago, I found out that Casey lied about Michael cheating on Casey. It was actually Casey who cheated on Michael. After that, I was mad and I didn't talk to Casey for a whole month. But we finally made up and I was able to forgive her mistakes but still, our relationship wasn't as close. She was just a good friend now.
I chuckled and looked over at her. "Casey, this isn't goodbye forever. I'm leaving the neighborhood, not the country."
She sighed. "I know but still. It sure won't be the same.." She gave me a hug and I hugged back. Justin let go of my waist. Moments later, we pulled away and she smiled. "Well, I'll see you guys soon." She started walking away.
"Kay. Bye." I slipped in the passenger side as Justin went in the driver's side. He got his keys out of his pocket and started the car, pulling out of the driveway. I snuck one last glance at the house and looked over at Justin and thought of how quiet he's been. His eyes were fixed on the road and he seemed to be thinking. It must've been something important. Maybe I should ask him...when we get to the house.

I looked out the window and saw that we were in his driveway. He parked the car and opened the door.
"Hey." I grabbed his arm gently.
He looked over at me for the first time since he started the car. "Yeah?" His voice was a whisper.
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Are you okay? You've been so quiet today."
He stared at his hands and nodded. "Yeah, I'm just, um, tired."
I pouted. He was lying. I just knew him that well. He doesn't-shouldn't lie to me. I hate it when people lie to me. I feel like they don't trust me enough. And Justin should trust me. I looked away from him, feeling hurt and just simply said, "Oh."
