I think...

Their plan to get married instantly didn't work out quite like they wanted to. Someone from either Lindsey's or Stevie's side weren't able to attend, which made them change the date three times. Stevie wasn't happy, but Lindsey kept reminding her that they would be husband and wife before their baby was born. Although, they were pushing it.

Stevie wanted to cry, when she saw herself in the mirror. And soon she stopped fighting it. She was over eight months pregnant and she hated the tent, like she called her dress, that she had to wear. Lindsey said they could wait if she was so uncomfortable with it, after her first fitting, so to call, but she disagreed, saying that they had already talked about it and the dress was of least importance right now. Still...

"Stephanie..." Her mother put one arm around her shoulders, giving a squeeze. "It's okay. Trust me, you look beautiful. This..." Placing a hand on Stevie's belly. "... this makes you the most beautiful bride in the world."

Smiling tearfully, Stevie nodded, turning to try and hug her mother. "I know, I know. Just... I'm afraid Lindsey will run, once he sees me."

Laughing lightly, Barbara kissed her daughter on the cheek, saying. "That man loves you. You're going to make him a father very very soon. While I don't know him that well yet, it was enough for me to be around you two for a day to see that he worships the ground you walk on. If anything, I think he's only ever going to run to you."

"Oh, Mom..." That brought a fresh set of tears of course. Repeating it like a mantra that she had to, Stevie managed to pull herself together, pulling back from her mother to wipe her tears. "I need my makeup touched up."

"I think you need to have it applied from scratch, honey."

"Mom!" Stevie gasped, but Barbara just waved it off.

"I'm only kidding, cheer up, sweetheart."

Before she knew it, Stevie had to leave the bedroom and go become Mrs. Buckingham. She smiled every time at the thought of that. Her life took such a turn, everything changing so quickly and drastically, yet, most definitely for the better. If she had still been with Joe to this day, she wouldn't be carrying a baby and marrying the love of her life in minutes, she knew that for sure. And a huge thanks went out to Lori, because if not her, Stevie wouldn't have met Lindsey that night.

Carrying a small, elegant bouquet of wildflowers, Stevie was gripping her father's hand in hers tightly, because she was afraid to fall and because she was also so very nervous. It's just Lindsey, just Lindsey... She kept telling herself, taking deep breaths.

Like said, the ceremony was taking place in the beautiful garden of  their own home. Since Stevie could barely move around, her mother and four best friends helped with decorating, listening to the bride's directions. Stepping out, where a very small group of people had gathered, Stevie was pleased with how it turned out, admiring it for a second, before her eyes settled on Lindsey and seeing him smiling lovingly at her just about melted her heart.

Suddenly, all of her worries and nerves disappeared, knowing that what she was doing was right. Yes, it was all so soon, she and Lindsey had known each other for just over a year, but it didn't matter. How he loved her, how he cared and took care of her - that matter. Not a day passed by when he didn't tell her, he loved her, held her and gave her a kiss. She didn't need to know anything else about him.

Having finally approached her husband to be, Stevie let go of her father's hand and took Lindsey's, as he brought hers up to his lips and pressed a kiss to the back of it, leaning in, he whispered... "You are so beautiful. I love you so much."

"I love you, too." She mouthed, before they turned to the officiant.

Since Stevie woke up that morning, she was feeling... odd would be the best way to describe it. She wasn't hurting anywhere, but she was feeling uncomfortable, but she wrote it off as being nervous about the wedding. But now she was beginning to doubt that was the case.

Lindsey noticed that something was wrong and he leaned in, asking... "Are you okay?" He knew it might have appeared rude, because the ceremony had already began, but Stevie's well being was far more important.

"Yeah." She quickly said and tried to focus on what was being said, although, it was passing by in a bit of a blur.

Once Lindsey said his, I do, and she was already wearing his ring on her finger, Stevie gasped, holding her breath, Lindsey once again asking if something wasn't right.

"I'm fine." She was going to go through with the ceremony.

Thankfully, it wrapped up in just a couple more minutes and the officiant said, Lindsey may now kiss his bride, he smiled and pulled her into his arms, going in for her lips, pressing a lingering kiss against them.

Then Stevie told him... "I think my waters broke, Lindsey."

"What? Are you serious?!" He was instantly alarmed, everyone having worried expressions on their faces. "Stevie, are you sure?"

"I just felt liquid trickle down my legs, what else could it be?"

Barbara came to her daughter's side, asking... "What's wrong, honey?"

"I'm pretty sure my baby is coming." She whispered, eyes brimming with tears. "But it's too soon, they still have several weeks of growing inside me left, Mom."

The look on Stevie's face broke her mother's heart, as all she could do was just try to remain calm and repeat... "It's going to be fine, sweetheart. It's going to be fine."
