Survive (Annie x Eren)

Chapter 14

Eren's pov

They'd told me almost everything.

Flashback

"I'm sorry to say Eren, but we are. I AM the Colossal Titan, and Reiner IS the Armored Titan, whether you like it or not." I couldn't believe it.

"Eren, you have to understand we have our reasons for bringing down the walls." I shook my head in disbelief.

"You killed my mother." My voice went cold and hard, my eyes filled with pain and anger. Berthold and Reiner shared a look, slightly concerned and obviously feeling guilty. Reiner sighed.

"Eren, we're sorry. But we ... We didn't me-"

"Enough. Either you let me out or I swear to god I will kill you in cold blood right here, right now." I looked up at them, clenching my fists.

"Eren we can't, you have to und-" I lashed out, punching Reiner straight in the jaw. I kicked him back and he fell out of the tree, tumbling down the tree and hitting the bottom with a thump. Berthold ran to the hole, screaming his name. Suddenly he turned and glared.

"What the actual FUCK MAN?!" I returned the glare and stepped back, closing my eyes. 'I will get out of here.. I will see you again Annie, I promise. Even if it costs me my arms and my legs, I WILL keep fighting.' I opened my eyes, a sudden death-look forming on my face. I smirked.

"Know that this IS something personal. Because what you've done to our community, our families, isn't right. It isn't acceptable. You killed your own families. So I hope you're happy." His eyes started filling with tears, but he was quick to blink them away.

"Our reasons are valid." He simply stated, seemingly calm now. I cocked my head to the side.

"Tell me why you bastard. Why did you take down the walls?" Berthold tensed.

"I'm guessing by the look in your eyes, I'm not making it out of here alive so I'm not telling you either way, whether you'll let me live if I tell you or not. You'll come to your senses eventually, trust me." His eyes glinted in the evening sun.

I just laughed, putting my foot behind my other one, and I lunged forward. I grabbed him by his waist as we shot of the hole. I positioned myself so that he would take most of the blow while falling, also making sure he was stuck like that. We hit the ground, and I blacked out.

Back to reality

I hadn't long woken up. Everything was dizzy, and my head was pounding; I couldn't think straight. I kept having memories of the blood running from Reiner's head, and Berthold's broken body. 

I shook my head, stumbling forward. I knew where I was, and I'd found my 3DMG. I was still among the trees, but that didn't mean the Titans wouldn't find me. So I anchored myself into a tree, and sat for a while. I'd been running for a while, and it physically hurt.

After a few minutes, I got up and was about to anchor myself to another lot of trees when I heard some stomping, and the ground was shaking a little.

'Shit.'

I was in no condition to fight the Titan coming, so I peeked around the trunk of the tree, seeing it wasn't in sight. So I zipped to the other side, and made my way out of the forest. As I got into the open land, it seemed clear so I made a run for it.

I'd been running for what seemed like an eternity, no Titans in sight.

'I'm lucky..'

I felt the ground begin to shake, and then I knew as it shook more and more.

'I'm not alone anymore... Shit.'

I glanced behind me to see 3 Titans storming after me, one of them abnormal.

'Shit shit shit!'

I kept running, knowing that it'd be too hard for me to take on the 3 Titans alone on open ground. But I was wearing myself out, I could feel it. I shook my head desperately, feeling the ground shake as they got closer, especially the abnormal. Their grinning faces made me want to throw up.

'Psychos..'

I shot a look behind me, trying to determine how many meters the Titans were.

'3 meter... 7 meter... Shit. The abnormal's... How many? FUCK! It's 13 mete-'

I'd tripped. Over a shrub. Wow. I tumbled over myself, and had an idea. The abnormal got closer and closer until it was almost on top of me.

'Now!'

I anchored myself to it's arm in an instant and shot up, running up it's arm. I shot at behind it's ear, and flew up there, narrowly missing it's hand trying to swipe me off. I shot at the back of it's neck, swiping at the nape swiftly as I went past, praying it was deep enough. It started collapsing to the floor, and I sighed with relief.

But my victory was short lived. It was taking me down with it! I saw the 3 meter class closing in, the 7 meter still a way behind. I shot out at the 3 meter, smiling when I saw it just about reached it's outstretched hand.

'Thank fuck..'

I flew into it's palm, and managed to climb out just before it clenched it's fist. I jumped down, and rolled to help break my fall. I then started sprinting back in the way I was originally going in.

'Come on Eren, you can make it.'

My legs stumbled over each other, threatening to make me fall, but I kept them steady. But no matter how much I ran, they were closing in, and they weren't taking their time. I ducked as the 3 meter swiped to grab me. I was panting, losing breath and feeling dizzy.

'I won't make it..'

I cursed under my breath, still going as fast as I could but it wasn't enough. They'd almost caught up, and there was no escape. I couldn't fight them in my condition, the abnormal had pushed my strength as it is. I shook my head, blinking a few times.

'FUCKING RUN YOU BIG ASS PUSSY!'

I glanced back, and once they were almost on top of me, I stopped and slid back, shooting at the 7 meter Titan and running up it's back. I jumped up and cut out the nape, and sighed with relief once I saw it was deep enough. This was pushing me, I could barely breathe as it was. I tried anchoring myself into the 3 meter, but failed.

I was falling to the ground when I was caught by something, someone. I opened my eyes to see Levi carrying me, a face of 'pissed off-ness' on his face and his arm wrapped around my waist. As he swung around the Titan, he got closer to the ground and threw me to Oluo and Eld who caught me swiftly and set me down after making sure I was okay.

The 3 meter Titan fell to the ground, Levi on it's head. He jumped off at the last second and landed safely on the ground, making some sort of 'Tch' sound as he glanced in my direction.
