It was Wednesday. I was pretty much walking to school like I do everyday. Got to school, saw Justin and said what's up, until I heard Kiera's name. I turned around and saw this girl named Stephanie talking trash about Kiera. "Hey what's wrong man?" Justin asked. I shook my head and said that nothing was wrong.
I tried to ignore the rumors since I didn't want Kiera to worry about me more.
I go to my locker and find gifts and letters pretty much like I do everyday. I turned around and saw this blonde freshman. "Um I really don't know how to say this, but I've had a crush on you for as long as I can remember,and I was wondering if you could go out with me!" She was shaking as if she was scared to confess. For once I didn't know what to say. I mean she was really pretty, but I just couldn't tell her yes. Then again I don't want to hurt her feelings. "I'm sorry I've got too much on my plate right now, but you are pretty. I'm sure you can find someone better than me." There that should do it. I left her speechless which I think is a good sign. Never mind, she started tearing up and left. I just told her she's pretty. Wasn't that enough?
"Girls right?" My friend Steven said. "Yup," I laughed.
I was hoping for a peaceful day and not have to deal with girls, confessions, and gifts. Unfortunately, Stephanie just had to take all her friends to come and talk to me.
"So what are you doing next week?"Stephanie asked swinging her hips. "Work and interviews." I sighed hoping they'd go away. "Aww that sucks!" Rachel said.
Thank god the bell rang. Science went by quickly, and once I got out I saw something I wish a hadn't seen. I saw Kiera walking with another guy. For some reason the moment I saw the two, tons of questions kept going through my mind. Questions like: Does she like him? Are they going out? Does she prefer him more than me? Am I not good enough for her? My brain seriously felt like it was going to explode.
I couldn't help it. I just straight up interrupted them. I felt kinda bad for the dude cause he seemed pretty intimidated by me. "Hey Kiera!" I said. "Oh, hey Ivan." She looked annoyed. Should I go away? Nah I think I'll stay to figure out why they are hanging out. "So whatcha guys doing?" I asked putting my arms behind my head. "I was just helping the new student get to his PE class." Kiera said. I still wasn't quite satisfied with her answer. I wanted to ask her more questions, but I didn't want to make it obvious that I'm jealous of the guy.
So I tried to walk away from the two until I figured out he was in the same class as us. It made me more jealous when Mr. Pringles said we could pick partners and she picked him to be her partner. I couldn't stop staring at the two." Dude, are you still here?" Drew snapped his fingers. "Huh? Yeah of course." I said. "Dude you've got a serious jealousy problem. Can you stop staring at them for like 5 minutes." Drew said. " Look I'm not jealous!" I tried to laugh it off. "I get it, you've got a crush on her. Why don't you just ask her out and she can be all yours. I mean what girl would say no to you?" Drew laughed. "Look I don't want to talk about it right now. Let's just focus on trying to complete the workout Mr.Pringles gave us. "Whatever you say loverboy!" Drew laughed.
Lunch didn't get any better. She decided to eat lunch with him! Whatever, I told her I could walk her home today so she could help me with some history homework. So I'll just ignore them for now.
After school was better. I was relieved she didn't forget about me and walk off with him. "Hey!" She said running towards me. "Hey!" I replied with a smile. We started walking and telling jokes for a while until somehow that other guy popped up in my head. "So, who was the new guy you were helping out?" I asked trying not to seem jealous. "Oh his name is Adam. He's really cool and we have a lot of things in common." Dang it! It already sounds like she has a crush on him! "Do you have crush on him by any chance?" I asked without hesitation. "What! No way we're just friends." She laughed which made me feel relieved.
"Maybe I do have a chance with her." I thought.
