It was 3 am. I couldn't sleep for some reason. I think it's cause my dads out. Come to think of it he's never been out this late. He needs help and he knows it, but he just thinks he could take care of himself when he really can't.
I decided to go skating. I know it's really late, but there's just something about skating that helps me relax when I'm thinking about something too much. I was too lazy to put a shirt on so I just was like "whatever" and just walked outside like that. I plugged in my earbuds and began listening to some music and left.
I went passed all the restaurants, cars, houses, and eventually saw my moms "mansion". I looked at it and compared it to my own home. Her house was all big, nice, and filled with things I can never afford. As for our house, it was just small and contained things that my mom would probably consider cheap.
At that moment I felt angry. She left us with little to nothing while she just watched and counted her money. It all sucks and I blame her for it. Ever since she got married again, my dad was so depressed that I guess he turned to drugs. As for me, I've never met her children or her husband. Plus I only see my mom once a year! She doesn't even care to check up on me every now and then!
I clenched my fists and glared at the house in anger. I felt my eyes getting watery so I hopped back in my skateboard and left. I can never forgive her for what she did to us.
I passed by Kiera's house and saw her sitting quietly on the phone outside. What is she doing outside? Who is she texting? Is she waiting for someone? If so, who is it? So many questions were running through my head, but I tried to ignore them. I got off my skateboard and automatically headed towards her. She looked scared, but eventually she realized it was me and was relieved. "Ugh I thought you were going to kidnap me or something!" She laughed which made me laugh too.
I kissed her and immediately thought of a Bruno Mars song for some reason. Whenever we kiss I still feel kinda fuzzy inside. I smiled and asked, "So what are you doing outside this late at night?" "The real question is what are YOU doing outside at 3am?" She asked. "Won't tell you until you tell me your reason." I grinned. "Fine. It's just that Mia keeps sending me all these text and you know how she is." She sighed. "Oh," I said. "So then tell me your reason." She smiled. "Skating," I smirked. I didn't want her to worry too much. "Really? Skateboarding shirtless this late?" She put her hands on her hips.
"Yup." I said popping the p. She probably didn't believe me, but she didn't ask any more questions so I guess that's good. I told her about the whole Mia and Darien thing since I didn't know what else I should talk about. "Oh yeah I'm glad they got that over with,"  She smiled. "Mia was really depressed. She still is, but now that she has Darien back she feels a lil happier." "How depressed was she or is she?" I asked. "I don't know really. All I know is that when she told me about the pregnancy it was raining, she wasn't wearing any makeup, her hair was a mess, she was crying, and she was in her pajamas." She looked me straight in the eyes and I blushed a little.
"She didn't want to go anywhere. She felt like everyone hated her. It made me sad when I realized the cuts on her arm. She was mostly locked up inside her room. But when Darien came back, she recently started progressing a lot more then I thought she would. She's still sad though. She won't tell me, but I know. Who wouldn't be sad, I mean she lost a lot of friends, some family members, and her other aunt is angry at her due to some religious beliefs." She sighed. "That must suck." I said. "Yeah it must." She sighed again. I felt like I brought up a bad subject, so I hugged her, tightly, and whispered, "I'm sure they'll make it out alright." I grinned. I noticed that whenever I smiled, she smiled too.
"I guess." She looked up and showed me that beautiful smile of hers. I tickled her since I knew she was really ticklish just to make her smile last longer. "Stop!" She laughed. As soon as I knew it, I fell right on top of her. Our foreheads met and we were the closest we had ever been before. There was a short pause until I couldn't help myself anymore and kissed her passionately. It felt perfect, kissing in the grass right below the stars. I didn't want to stop, so we just continued to kiss for a few minutes.
We stopped, but I continued to kiss her neck. She started laughing as if I was tickling her again. When I lifted my head back up, she landed a few kissed on my cheeks, and one more on my lips. I laughed I little too, wishing that this one moment could last forever.
She quickly checked her phone and realized what time it was. "What wrong?" I asked. I didn't want her to leave yet. "It's getting late I should go before my dad realizes I'm outside this late." She smiled. "Oh ok." I said trying not to beg. "I'll call you when I wake up tomorrow, kay." She kissed me one more time. "Kay."  I said, and hopped back on my skateboard.
