It was around 9 o'clock-ish when I got home I walked in and saw my little brother standing beside the door. Dang it! I totally forgot about Jacob! "How was after school tutoring?" I asked anxiously. "I had to walk home by myself." Jacob frowned. "Please don't tell dad, he'll kill me for sure!" I exclaimed. Jacob sighed, "Fine, but in one condition. Give me 20 bucks." "Fine!" I handed him the 20. He smirked and walked away.
Dad came at about 9:30. "There's my baby girl! How was school?" He asked energetically even though it was obvious all he wanted was to sleep. Sometimes I wish he wouldn't work so much.
"It was good." I smiled when Jacob shouted,"Kiera left with her friend to a party
and left me home alone for hours!" Stupid Jacob! I knew I shouldn't have trusted him! "Really Kiera!" Dad shouted sounding stressed. "Look, my friend invited me to go and I didn't think I'd leave so late." I said. "Look I get it that you're in high school and all, but that doesn't give you an excuse to leave your brother all by himself!" Now he really sounded angry. "But-" I exclaimed. "You're grounded you are not going anywhere and you are most definitely not using any electronics or leaving the house-" he collapsed. I was scared. Jacob and I immediately ran towards him. "Dad!" Jacob exclaimed worriedly. "It's ok, I'm fine." He tried to get up. "No you're not!" I said. I put my hand on his forehead to see if he was sick or something. He had a high fever.
I was shaking. I was shocked at what I had just seen. Jacob and I carried dad to his bed.
We laid him in his bed and I said, "Dad please just rest and let us take care of you this time." "But what about the bills what about you guys." He said. "I'll get a job ok. I was looking for anyways." I said. "But you most likely won't make enough money." He said. "I'll find a way ok. Just please rest, for us." I said. "Ok." He passed out finally.
I wonder what's going to happen now.
*Sorry I haven't published any chapters lately, it's just that I've been really busy cuz of school, plus my phone was confiscated for awhile :/
