Chapter 12

Emma's P.O.V:

I fluttered my eyes open and saw that I was in Carlisle's office,the first thought that came to my mind was

am I a vampire?

I guess Edward must of read my mind since my whole family came running up the stairs,instantly I was crushed in a hug by mom and dad,"Rosalie,Emmette,she's still a human,she'll get hurt if you hug her that tight"uncle Carlisle said,they immediately released me.

"so I guess you want to know what happened Emma.After James bit you the venom started spreading through your veins but just in time Edward sucked the venom out,a few more seconds and you could have been a vampire"Uncle Carli explained,I nodded and sat up ''you guys wont let me turn into a vampire even if I wanted to,would you?"I asked a little dissapointed

"no I wont let anyone turn you,I want you to enjoy being a human"mum said sitting next to me,"but I would get to live forever and be like you guys with cool powers"I grinned showing my dimples,"its not as easy as you think"dad said sitting next to me.

By this time every one except mom and dad left,"but I dont want to live life knowing i'll die while you guys will still be the same"I said looking down fiddling with my fingers,mum sighed "we'll think about it,when you turn 18"mom said kissing my forehead "for now go to sleep"she said goodnight and left.

I woke up the next morning feeling new and fresh,I got up and did my morning routine and skipped downstairs "morning dear"Esme said handing me my breakfast,"morning aunt Esme"I said kissing her cheek and began eating breakfast wondering why i'm so excited today.

Edward came walking downstairs "your excited because we have prom today"he said walking past me,I almost choked on my food,I quickly ate everything and ran to find Alice but bumped into something solid which was Jasper"owww,thats one thing I dont like about being human,I always get hit"I groaned and got up "Jaz have you seen Alice?"I asked,"yeah,she's upstairs"he said.

I ran upstairs and burst in her room "dont worry I already have your dress,come to me when your done"she said handing me a dress,I sighed in relief and hugged her.I went to my room to take a nice shower,I used my grape scented shampoo and peach body wash.

After I dried up,I changed into my dress since it was 5:30 pm,we had to leave at 7 pm.My dress was baby blue which reached down to my knees,it was strapless and poofy.

 I went into Alice's room to see that she's already dressed up,"you look beautiful"she said making me twirl,she sat me down on the chair and started doing my hair.She made it curly,then for make up she just applied purple lipgloss and eyeliner."oh my gosh!you look so pretty"she squeled taking me downstairs since every one was ready.

When we reached the last step all eyes were glued on me,"Emma you look magnificent"Esme said twirling me,I blushed "make sure you save us a dance"dad said from the couch,"that would be awkward if everyone knew you were my dad"I said

"well they dont know,miss smarty pants"he smirked,"i'm not wearing pants"I smirked back,"fine then,mis smarty dress"he commented,"okay I never heard that in my life"I said rolling my eyes,mum sighed "no wonder she's childish"she said as we walked to the car,I laughed

"sorry mum"I said kissing her cheek,she smiled.
