After staying with the Parker's for around a week, Nikolina had learned lots of things. School things, mostly. Stuff like maths, history, amongst other things came easy to her. She just assumed that HYDRA put something in her head that made her learn quicker, so they wouldn't have to spend so much time on her.
The thing Nikolina was most happy about was the fact that she could cook. Cooking was a big deal in Sokovia, and Nikolina was no exception. Endless times had the Avengers found Wanda and Nikolina held up by the stove, cooking something.
That's exactly what she was doing right now, cooking. It calmed her down when she cooked her food. She was making Chicken Paprikash, her and Wanda's favorite.
Looking around, she couldn't find the Paprika. It was on the counter a bit away from her. When she saw it, she glanced around the room before using her telekinetic powers to bring it to her. The reason she glanced around the room was that Aunt May couldn't see her use her powers. Not because she didn't know about them - because she did, she had seen Nikolina on the news - but because she wouldn't allow them in the house.
"Mm, smells good." Peter sniffed the air, walking out of his room. He walked in behind Nikolina, attempting to grab one of the chicken pieces. To his dismay, Nikolina smacked his hand away, cursing quietly in Sokovian.
"You can have the food when it's ready." She told him. That was another thing, she had gotten better at speaking English. From speaking pretty bad English to actually being decent at it.
Peter sighed heavily and jumped up on the counter, slumping down.
Nikolina, sensing that something was wrong, placed her hands either side of the stove and turned to him, "What's wrong?"
"I'm hungry."
Peter's response made Nikolina chuckle and continue with the food. She had quickly found out that Peter got grumpy if he didn't get his food.
"Well, it's done soon." She told him, seasoning the food with the paprika. "Set the table."
Peter glared at her, making her sigh heavily.
"Please..."
He smiled and began to set the table. Nikolina rolled her eyes and continued cooking. After stirring and touching up, she carried the pot to the table, setting it on the plate that kept the table from getting hot. Peter called Aunt May out of her room and the three sat down at the table.
"Wow, Nikolina, this is amazing!" Aunt May exclaimed, eating the food. Nikolina smiled and took a spoonful of the Paprikash, tasting it. It brought her back to Sokovia, brought back memories of Pietro.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when Peter coughed rapidly.
"Spicy." He managed to cough out and Nikolina laughed. He practically ran to the fridge and got a glass of milk, downing it. Now it was Aunt May's time to laugh.
Peter walked back to the table, milk coating the sides of his mouth. Nikolina struggled to contain the laugh that was begging to come out.

Nikolina walked down the hall at school, stopping at her locker. She had history next, so she grabbed her books. As she was making her way to class, someone called her name.
"Nikolina, hey!" The mystery person stopped beside her.
"Tyler. Hey..." Nikolina answered, clutching her books tighter to her chest.
"Parker's not here to walk with you?" Tyler asked, almost surprised. He had seen how Peter spent most of his time with her. Either helping her or just making sure she wasn't alone.
"He's got maths." Nikolina shrugged. "I've got history."
Tyler chuckled at the way she sighed, the two were obviously very close.
"Well, lucky you! I've got history, too. Extremely boring and also things I will never use in my life ever again. Pointless, really." Tyler spoke and Nikolina chuckled. He obviously didn't like to go to class.
"Yeah." Nikolina said, not really sure of what to say. The two made their way into the history classroom and Tyler chose to sit in the middle, next to Nikolina instead of in the back where he usually sat.
"So, what's the deal with you and Parker? You two together or something?" Tyler wondered while the teacher took attendance and then started his lesson with one of his poetic intros, as always.
"What's it to you?" Nikolina asked back, writing down what the teacher wrote on the board into her notebook.
"Nothing, really. Just curious." Tyler said, the teacher turning to glare at him.
"Tyler! What was I just saying?" He asked, smirking at Tyler.
"I don't know, something about some old geezer." Tyler snickered.
The teacher scoffed, making a note in his book, probably writing down that Tyler was in detention.
"Why do you do that?" Nikolina whispered to Tyler when the teacher had turned away from them and went back to his teaching. Tyler made a humming sound, looking over at her. "Why do you make those jokes and say those things that get you detention? I don't understand."
"Well, you see, it's all for the heck of it. I love to see how far I can push a teacher before they break. Honestly, I think it's hilarious." Tyler explained and Nikolina gave a slight nod. She still didn't understand why he would purposely get a detention just for the heck of it but she didn't judge him.
