A few days later, May and Nikolina were sat in the couch, May reading the newspaper and Nikolina watching the TV.

The door opened and in walked Peter and another person.

"Peter! Ned, it's so good to see you! How did you enjoy England?" May smiled, standing up from the couch.

"It was great! I met the- holy mother of god! You... you're... you're her!" Ned exclaimed when he noticed Nikolina on the couch, a maroon blanket wrapped around her.

"Ned..." Peter murmured. He didn't want his friend to make a big deal about him and Nikolina Maximoff sharing a house.

"You're Nikolina Maximoff! I've seen you on YouTube. I'm a big fan. Ned Leeds. Nice to meet you." During his little ramble, he had made his way over to Nikolina and knelt down in front of her, shaking her hand.

"You too." Nikolina chuckled, looking oddly at their intertwined hands as Ned shook her hand vigorously.

"All right, Ned, well we're going to go into my room and leave Nikolina alone, okay?" Peter said and Ned excused himself and followed Peter into his room.

As May sat back down in the couch, Nikolina looked up at her, "Who's that guy?"

"Peter's best friend, Ned Leeds. He's been away in England for the past month." May explained, Nikolina nodding. May went back to the newspaper, before making a squealing sound and basically jumping from her spot over to Nikolina's and snatching the remote. "They're playing reruns of old 'friends' episodes. Oh, you'll love it! They're playing the pilot."

Nikolina simply chuckled at May's enthusiasm - something she hadn't seen in a while - and snuggled up further into her blanket.

The second the theme song played, Peter and Ned were out of Peter's room in a flash, sitting down in between May and Nikolina.

Nikolina only looked at the two in confusion. Apparently, she was the only one who didn't understand what this 'friends' thing was about. But she was about to.

Not twenty minutes into the episode had Nikolina fallen in love. She laughed until the point of tears and had a great time.

That night, the Parker's, Nikolina and Ned watched 'friends' and ate pizza, like a family.

As Monday arrived, Ned, Peter and Nikolina were walking down the hallway, toward the cafeteria. They now had lunch.

"I still can't believe you're living with Nikolina Maximoff! She's, like, the best, most awesome avenger ever!" Ned exclaimed. He still hadn't stopped talking about the fact that he knew Nikolina.

"Ned, she's right there." Peter said, pointing at Nikolina, who was on the other side of Peter. She just smiled and waved at Ned.

"I know she's right there. Which is what I can't understand. Nikolina freaking Maximoff goes to our school. How cool is that?" Ned continued.

"Yeah, I don't think the other people agree with you." Nikolina said, looking around at the people who were staring at her. People had gotten used to her being there by now, but that didn't change the fact that half the students were afraid of her and the other half thought she was a freak. No one said nothing to her face, since they thought that she might set them on fire or throw them through the roof.

Nikolina would never do anything of the sort, but of course, when you're an Avenger with powers and then suddenly you go to high school, people start to wonder.

The trio entered the cafeteria, each grabbing their lunch and sitting down at one of the round tables.

"Oh my god, what is it like to be an Avenger?! Like, are you friends with Captain America and those people?" Ned enthusiastically asked Nikolina, who gave him a look that almost said 'shut up', however it was intended to say 'not so loud'.

"I guess it's cool to be an Avenger. I don't know, all I've done since I was five is fight. Yes, I'm friends with Captain America and all the others. Why?" Nikolina replied in a hushed tone.

"Holy crap! Uhm, if you meet them again, I have a Captain America shield that I would love for him to sign." Ned said, Peter almost choking on his food. He could not believe Ned had asked Nikolina for Captain America's signature.

Nikolina laughed, "Uh, I'll try my best."

"Honestly, Ned, you are an embarrassment." Peter chuckled as he continued to down his food.

"Look who's talking, Mr Stark Internship." Ned mocked, Nikolina looking at Peter with wide eyes. What internship?

Peter gave Nikolina a look that said 'I'll explain later' before turning back to Ned, "It's not a big deal, actually."

Ned just shook his head. If only he knew what the Stark Internship truly was.

-

"So, what's the Stark Internship?" Nikolina asked Peter. The two of them were in comfy PJ's, sat on Peter's bed, doing homework.

"It's the Spider-Man thing." Peter answered simply. "What did you get on forty-three?"

Nikolina shuffled through her papers to find the one Peter asked about, "Ninety-five. What are you hoping for this 'Internship'? To be an avenger? No way, I'm not letting you."

"You're not my mother." Peter scolded, glaring at Nikolina.

"I know I'm not, but I've been an avenger and it's not pretty. You have to make hard decisions, decisions that would ruin you." Nikolina explained, Peter's look showing his confusion. "You're a hero that wants to save everyone and not let anyone get hurt in the process. The Avengers aren't like that, they do what they have to do to save everyone. Unless you're with Steve, you can't even hurt a fly with him."

"You think I'm a hero?" That was most of what Peter had picked up. He never realized what those words could mean for him. He had the most stupid grin on his face and his eyes twinkled.

"Of course I think you're a hero. I've never met someone so pure as you." Nikolina smiled. Peter didn't know how she truly felt. She thought he was so pure, and she thought she would ruin him.
