"Dude, what is it like being famous when no one knows it's you?" Ned asked as Peter and Nikolina walked down the stairs.

"It's crazy, dude!" Peter told him.

"Should we tell everyone?" Ned asked, Nikolina's eyes growing ten times wider.

"No!" Both Nikolina and Peter said in unison.

"Should I tell anyone?" Ned asked, Nikolina rolling her eyes.

"No." She told him.

"Oh, well, we have to get to class." Ned said, starting to walk away. Nikolina followed him, only to get stopped by Peter speaking.

"Oh, I'm not going to class." Peter said, Nikolina looking oddly at him.

"Dude, you're already in so much trouble for ditching the decathlon." Ned told Peter.

"Listen, I figured it out, right? The wing-suit guy is stealing from damage control. What he takes from damage control, that's how he builds the weapons. So, all I've got to do is catch him." Peter said to Ned.

"But, we have a Spanish quiz." Ned told Peter. He gave Nikolina a look to see whose side she was on.

"Ned, I'm probably never going to come back here. Mr Stark is moving the Avengers upstate, so when I bring this guy in-" Peter said but Ned cut him off, "Dude, you want to be a high school dropout?"

"I am so far beyond high school right now." Peter said, heading for the door, only to get stopped by the principal's assistant.

Nikolina looked at him before heading into Spanish class, the last thing she saw before going in was Peter's distressed look as he followed the man.

Later that day, Peter called Nikolina saying that he knew where wingsuit man was going to be and Nikolina flew over there immediately.

She landed smoothly on the Staten Island Ferry. One problem, she couldn't find Peter anywhere. She noticed him down by the cars and flew down there.

Suddenly, the FBI came in and aimed their guns at Peter. They were soon distracted by wings emerging from a truck. Out flew wingsuit guy.

Nikolina used her powers to pull him back but he used that to his advantage and kicked her in the chest, sending her flying into the ocean. She floated to the top and flew out, placing a telekinetic shield in front of the ship.

The weapon flew out of the man's hands and landed on the ship and shot beams out that split the boat in two.

"Oh my god, Peter, what do we do?" Nikolina asked, landing next to Peter.

"Just try to stop the boat." Peter yelled out. "Use your water powers to push against the boat."

"That's a lot of water, Peter, I don't know if I can take it!" Nikolina yelled.

"Just try!" Peter shouted, telling the woman in his suit to scan for strong points.

Nikolina flew out of the boat and pushed the water together. Then she saw Tony arrive with extra help and together they pushed the boat together. Nikolina flew along the tear in the ship and burned it to fuse it back together.

Then she grabbed Peter and flew back to Queens. They landed on a roof and Tony told Nikolina to go home and tell May that everything was okay.

And so she did, but May didn't calm down. And when Peter finally came home, she snapped.

"I've been calling you all day, you didn't answer your phone. You can't do that. And then this ferry thing happens. I've called five police stations, five. I called five of your friends-" May rambled when Peter cut her off, "I'm fine. May, I'm fine, honestly just relax. I'm fine."

"Cut the bullshit. I know you left detention. I know you left the hotel room in Washington. I know you sneak out of this house every night. That's not fine. Peter, you have to tell me what's going on. Just lay it out. It's just us three here." May told him and Peter's eyes watered.

"I lost the Stark Internship." Peter said and Nikolina understood what he meant immediately.

"What?" May asked. Peter's eyes watered even more. "What happened?"

"I just... I worked really hard and he would, you know... I screwed it up." Peter sighed, sitting down.

"It's okay, it's okay." May said. Nikolina sat down next to Peter and wrapped an arm around him and he leaned his head on her shoulder, his eyes watering even more.

"I'm sorry I made you worry." Peter said.

May hugged him as well, "You know, I'm not trying to ruin your life. I used to sneak out, too. Take a shower, you smell. You smell like garbage."

"Yeah, I know." Peter said, getting up and going to take a shower.

Later that night, Nikolina was almost asleep when her door creaked open.

"Hey, could I sleep here tonight? I can't sleep and I'm just..." Peter didn't have to finish his sentence before Nikolina held her duvet up for him to crawl under.

"I know, Peter, I know." Nikolina said, kissing the top of his head.

"Hey, I wanted to ask you something. You know homecoming? I wanted to ask if maybe you wanted to go with me?" Peter asked and Nikolina closed her eyes and sighed.

"I'm sorry, Peter, but Tyler asked me and I couldn't bare to say no. I'm so sorry." Nikolina answered.

"Oh, it's okay. Yeah, no problem." Peter said, sighing as well.

"You would be my first choice, though, but he asked first." Nikolina said and Peter smiled, pulling her closer. She wrapped her arms around him and both of them fell asleep immediately, in each other's arms.
