Confusion.

Sif walked into the gardens of Asgard. It was dark out now. She sat at the far end of the gardens where she could not be seen by anyone passing. She had a light shawl around her shoulders to keep the chill off. The crimson warrior sat playing with her dagger, completely transfixed. She was confused inside, feelings she shouldn't have swam around in her head and her heart. She spun the tip of the dagger around on her finger, not thinking, her mind was elsewhere.
"I wouldn't do that if I were thee. Not if thou want to keep thy finger."
Sif jumped and looked up to find Loki smirking in the shadows. His jet green eyes shining in the moonlight, transfixing her. "What art thou doing out hither?" She asked firmly as she stood to meet him, her arms crossed firmly over her chest. He laughed lightly.
"I could bid thee the same thing fair Sif. What is a beautiful maiden such as thyself doing out hither alone?" Slowly he crept out of the shadows and right in front of her, looking down at her with a smirk.
"I...I twas thinking twas all. Tis none of thy business..." She looked down, wishing he would step away from her, his scent made her heart beat faster, his close breathing sending shivers up her spine.
"As twas I." He said nothing else forcing her to look up and meet his gaze again.
"Thee? Thinking?" An amused laugh left her lips.
A small grin formed on his own and he bent closer to her. "Surprised? Even men such as myself can have thoughts."
She smiled briefly before curiosity got the better of her.
"What would thou hast unto think about? Thy next victim?"
He placed a hand on her waist and the other moved her hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear, breathing escaped her briefly as he brushed against her.
"Actually Lady Sif I twas thinking of thee." He whispered into her ear, he stayed close to her, his face extremely inches from hers.
"Me?" She choked. Surely he had not said that? He was messing with her.
"Aye.' He said softly, moving his head away from her ear and cupping her face in his hands, staring deep into her blue eyes.
"I twas thinking how I could have fallen for a women like thyself, a women so strong and difficult unto get alone."
She didn't say a word, she couldn't, she didn't know what to say. She opted for leaning in close and kissing him lightly instead, this took Loki by surprise for a second before he held her tight and kissed her back. Passionately. When they eventually parted they smiled at the other.
"I shouldn't feel this way for thee Loki, not thee." She spoke quietly.
"But thou dost, as do I. I love thee Sif."
She felt her heart skip a beat.
"I...I love thee as well." She stammered, lightheaded. Loki pulled her close again and the two continued to kiss in the moonlight. She knew deep down this would end in tears; hers, but for this one night she could not deny herself.
