Illusion of love.

As Sif stormed away from Thor and Loki, the warriors three followed closely. 'You are not happy with the decision to pay Jotenheim a visit are you Sif?' Volstagg laughed. 'I am not going to pretend I'm happy about it.' She parted ways shortly after and made her way to her own chambers. Upon opening the door she froze. She was looking at herself. She immediately went for her sword, but before she laid a single finger upon it she found herself being hurled backwards by a force known only to one. Eventually she opened her eyes, she was not where she expected to be. The room was pitch black, all she could hear was her own heartbeat. 'About time.' Sif jumped, she sat up abruptly but as she did a searing pain ran through her head. 'I wouldn't move so fast if I were you.' She now knew the voice and anger reared up. 'LOKI!' She stood but she did not know where to look. .'You attacked me!' She shouted into the darkness. She felt a body appear behind her, a light breathing filled the air. 'I did it to protect you.' He said softly. 'Protect me? From what?' She turned around but he was gone again. There was just darkness. 'I can't allow you to go to Jotenheim. The frost giants are ruthless. They could kill you.' His voice shook slightly. She sighed. 'Loki stop with the illusions. No matter what you do I am still going. Thor will notice if I am not there.' Loki laughed. 'No, I have that sussed.' Sif remembered seeing herself before she was knocked out. 'You can't create an illusion of me to fool them all Loki!' There was silence. 'Loki!' She grew anxious, not knowing where he was. 'It is done Sif.' His voice was quiet and she heard the unmistakable sound of a door closing and the lock being turned. 'No...' She ran towards the sound and banged fiercely against the hard surface. 'LOKI!'

Her voice echoed through the hall as he walked away. 'I'm doing the right thing.' He kept chanting to himself. 'Ah brother.' Came the deep tones of Thor. 'Where have you been? I told you we have no time to waste. I have a battle plan for Jotenheim to present to you all. However both you and Lady Sif went missing.' Loki tilted his head and put on a smirk. 'I haven't seen the Lady Sif. I'm sure she will turn up. Come brother I want to hear these plans.' He placed a hand on his brother's shoulder and began to lead him away, looking briefly behind him towards the door to which Sif was behind. 'Loki...' A small female voice floated though the corridor, gaining Thor's attention. He stopped in his tracks, Loki froze beside him, his breath caught in his throat. 'What was that?' Thor enquired. Loki shrugged. 'Nothing brother. Come now, we have no time to waste.' He tried to lead Thor away but he stayed firmly in place. 'Do you have a maiden locked in your chambers?' A smirk grew on his unshaven face. Loki laughed, a laugh that masked his relief. 'I am not Fandral my brother, I do not have maiden after maiden.' Thor stifled a laugh. 'Come brother, we must find Lady Sif and be on our way.' As the brothers entered the drawing room they found the warriors three waiting eagerly for them. 'My friend where is the Lady Sif?' Volstagg addressed Thor. Loki rolled his eyes slightly, how he wished people would stop asking. He knew he had to begin the illusion soon. The five men were ready for battle, they stood at the doors of the castle. 'Not leaving without me are you?' All five turned to find Lady Sif standing before them, her face grim. Loki found himself going pale as she met his gaze, if looks could kill. 'Sif, where have you been?' Thor smiled at her. 'I just had a few issues to attend to. Shall we go?' She stood beside them all as they marched from the castle. Loki fell back a few paces, Sif following suit. 'How did you get out?' He didn't dare look at her as he asked. 'You underestimate me Loki. The trick you pulled was cheap.' She glared at him without breaking pace. 'You know why I did it Sif.' She saw what she thought was a glimmer of passion in his eyes, she but despite this she was still angered by his stunt. 'You forget who I am Loki, I can defend myself!' She snapped before they caught up with the others. He prayed she was right.
