Haunted past...

Darkness filled the crevices of Asgardia. It's citizen's slumbered peacefully. Their minds at rest from their usual daily endeavours and stresses. For it is only is sleep, do we truly feel rested.

Alas, there is one, one fair maiden whom need for sleep escapes her.

The once, and will be again, formidable crimson warrior lay within her satin sheets. Her mind very much awake. Beside her, sleeping soundly, her soulmate. Her husband. His blonde locks matted as a result of his tossing and turning earlier in the night.

She gave up on the idea of rest and hoisted her heavily with child form from the bed. Covering her shoulders with her scarlet cloak and wandering the empty corridors with no purpose of direction.

She sighed. The last 7 months had brought her nothing but constant boredom, aches and pains. This was not to say it wouldn't be worth it in the end when her child arrived but for the time being it was becoming a hindrance.

She stopped in her tracks as something fluttered in her peripheral vision. A darkened figure she could not spot until they stopped in the distance. Lingering at the far end of the hall. His jet green stare locking onto her blue eyes. She knew instantly whom it was who stood metres from her and it made her skin twitch anxiously in goosebumps. "Loki...." She breathed silently. Her words seem to travel farther than she thought as his steps resumed towards her, stopping just short of her form. A cunning smirk on his face. "Did thou miss me?" He spoke slowly, taunting her. His cold breath making her shiver.

She took a step back, her brows knitting into a frown. "Nay..." She spat shortly, standoffish.

He merely laughed and waved his hand as though to signal her words were nothing.

"Sif....thou verily expect me to believe that my departure made thou feel nought?" He leaned into her, running his finger along her jawline, tipping her chin towards him. "Nay....I believe thy heart still belongs to me..pines like an abandoned puppy." He was now inches from her face, she squirmed a little.

He pulled back and ran his hands down her side, resting on her hips. A frown covered his features as he felt her slender form had widened and then he knew. Now he realised, he could feel what the darkness was hiding from him. "Thou art with child!" He hissed as his hands explored her protruding stomach. She grabbed his wrists and thrust him away from her. "Doth not touch me." She snarled, her protective nature now shining through.

His face contorted into fury. All this time he believed she would be his at the click of his fingers.

"Surprised?" She smirked, feeling she was gaining the advantage.

"Thou stayed with that brainless dweeb? Thor's puppet? And this..." He points at the unborn child. "...this...is it his? Art thou really allowing him to spawn?!" His fury spilling over. She was the only woman he had allowed himself to feel for and now it seemed she was lost to him. Or was she?

He didn't allow her time to answer before he continued on his little speech. "Nay bother, this shan't be an obstacle. For I know, despite thy claims that thou art mine, despite this issue." If she wasn't so tired and worn, she would have most definitely of knocked him out by now, she could feel the frustration bubbling underneath. He took ahold of her shoulders, pulling her close, using her current weakness against her. He ran his fingers through her hair, sweeping his thumb against her ear. "Can thou really resist me Sif?" His lips brushed her own, causing her to flinch again. "What of our past? So passionate, so physical.." He teased.
