Belle's POV

I was shaken out of the Trance by none other than Shooting Star.

"Belle!" Mabel had hugged me. "Hex got me out of that trap but it took forever to get you out!"

"Forever? Wait...has it been a century already? Did Bill win? Has he taken over the universe?" I asked questions in quick succession, not pausing.

"No! It's only been an hour! Oh Belle, Bill hasn't won!" Mabel giggled, "I was just exaggerating!"

"Oops." I had forgot how humans exaggerated and used hyperboles all the time.

We needed to make a plan to take down Bill.

I had Hex go in as a double agent with Bill.

Hex had reverted to his human form and left for the Nightmare Realm, entering when Bill was introducing the "crooks and criminals he called his friends."

I hope this works!

Mabel and I rushed to the Mystery Shack, and we were just about to go in when-

CRASH!

I took my hand away from the doorknob. I knew that last Weirdmaggedon, Mabel had found her family in there.

I summoned flames on my fingertips.

Because if I was able to get through - a being of pure weirdness, pretty much - then who knows what's in there.

Mabel pulled out her grappling hook from her sweater, and summoned purple flames on the hook part, not burning it.

I wonder where she kept that grappling hook?

Not important! Pay attention Belle!

I placed a hand on the knob, dissipating flame from that hand.

We didn't know what we'd find.

The door creaked as I opened it.

Screams sounded as monsters and people alike stared at my hand that was ready to fight.

Mabel hadn't shown herself to them yet.

"Mabel," I called back to her, extinguishing the blue light from my hand, "Put out the purple flames. It's just monsters and people."

A cheery cry of "Okay" sounded, and I stepped back outside, away from the door.

Mabel went inside, but the worst part was who wasn't there....
