Her first patient for the day was Deadshot. After about 15 minutes of listening how much he would like to see his daughter, Harleen took off her glasses and looked straight into his eyes.
"I know that this is really hard for you,but if you cooperate I can take a letter from you to her.How does that sound?" She knew the rules did not allow prisoners to write letters but a piece of paper couldn't hurt anyone, could it?
"Why should I trust you?" The hitman narrowed his eyes at her.
"I just want to help. That's my job." Harleen gave him a friendly smile. "I'm not stupid, Deadshot. I know you are not crazy. We just have to prove it to them. So what do you say?"
He just stared at her for some time until he finally opened his mouth.
"Well I guess I have nothing to lose,do I?"
Harleen smiled and looked at his file.
"Great. Now I will ask you a few questions..."

She left the room an hour later. The smile just couldn't leave her face as she was gripping her folders, where the letter from Deadshot was. She was going to drop it off right after work as a thank you gift to Deadshot for the cooperation. Her boss would be so pleased with this. Speaking of her boss...
Dr. Jeremiah Arkham has left a note in her office to come see him. While it was a perfect opportunity to show him her advance with Deadshot,Harleen couldn't help but wonder what did he want. She hoped that she wasn't in trouble. They couldn't know about the letter, right? At least she hoped so.
Just as she was making her way to the office a crazed laugh echoed through the asylum. Harleen stopped dead in her tracks and turned to get a glimpse at what was happening. She knew that laughter. Actually who didn't? It could not be mistaken. At the end of the hallway that led to the area for the most dangerous criminals she saw about 30 police officers but among then was the Joker himself. His hair was coloured bright green and he was taller than most of the men around him. He was wearing a very tight restraining jacket. Yet he was laughing... Harleen stared at him more than fascinated. His behaviour was so strange so unpredictable. Without realising it she took a step towards him. One of the men punched him hard but the Joker didn't give any indication of pain.
"What do you think you are doing??" Harleen shouted angrily. "You can't hit a patient!"
All the attention was on her now. And the Joker was looking at her with amusement in his eyes.
"Doctor Quinzel, this is a dangerous criminal. He doesn't even know the count of his victims. Do you think he deserves better?" The policeman shot back.
"I know the count actually. 482 and counting." The Joker said without taking his eyes away from Harleen. "But if we count the torture..."
"Enough!" A strong voice interrupted the Clown prince. It was Dr Arkham himself. "Take him to his cell. And don't use any unnecessary force."
"Yes,sir." With that they took him away leaving Harleen and her boss in the middle of the corridor.
"Doctor Arkham,I was just coming to see you." She said.
He looked down at her and smiled a little.
"Doctor Quinzel. I always find you in interesting situations. Please follow me."
With that he turned around and started walking so quickly that Harleen had to jog to keep up. When they were finally in front of his office he unlocked and opened the door for her before closing it behind himself.
