Obsidian was a homeworld soldier (her weapon was a bow), until she joined the Crystal Gems. But one day, when she was training on the beach, Rose Quarts suddenly appeared behind her. She got scared and shot her, causing Rose to go back to her gem, but when she realised what happened, she wrote in the sand: 'bubble me', took Rose's sword and poofed herself. Long story short, she was bubbeled, stored in Lion's manes and nobody ever talked about her again.
But, many years later, when Steven acidentally broke a branch of the tree, it fell on the bubble she was in, causing her to be free, but she didn't form yet. She formed after Bismuth was bubbeled for the second time. This story starts when she forms.
