Chapter 16: Jasper and Lapis to the rescue! (Sort of)

Note: Gems can be hurt so badly that they can't stand anymore in this story

Back to the cave...

Loud screams could be heared, caused by the Crystal Gems. Zircon was obviously torturing them, but Obsidian didn't scream at all.
"Come on, I want to hear some nice screams" Zircon said, sounding quite annoyed and bored at the same time.
Obsidian grunted softly in pain. "Never!" she called out, turned and spitted Zircon in her face.
Zircon's face became a red color. "Why, you..." she then calmed herself down. "If you're going to act like that, let's try some more, okay?" Zircon changed her normal leather whip for one made of barbed wire and started hitting Obsidian with that one. "Listen, my deary" she said as she moved her lips next to the other Gem's ears. "You are going to scream soon, I will make you, even if it means torturing you until the world ends"
Obsidian grunted again, but was determined not to scream, she didn't want Zircon to have that pleasure.

After an hour, Zircon became bored, so she threw Obsidian back into her cage and locked her up again.
Obsidian sat up, turned the microphone on and whispered the coordinates she saw on a screen while Zircon was torturing her in it. She then turned it off, hid it again and collapsed on the ground.

And let's go to Jasper and Lapis, just before Obsidian whispers the coordinates.

"Hey Jasper, the light thingy of the reciever is flashing" Lapis said.
Jasper sprinted to it, tried to put the headphones on her head, broke them in two, put the halfs on her ears and listened. Coordinates could be heared, in a soft whisper. Jasper took a pen and noted them down.
She then turned to Lapis. "I know where to find her" she said angry and sad at the same time.
"Three questions: One; why are you mad?"
"Zircon is torturing her"
"Two; why are you sad?"
"Same reason"
"Three; where are they?"
"Here" Jasper showed her the piece of paper.
"Let's go then. Oh, and one more thing"
"What?"
"We might need to fuse, so would you really mind?"
"To save Obsidian, I'd do anything"
"Okay"
They walked out of the door and to a warp pad near the house. They warped to the warp pad closest to the mountain.
They looked at the mountain.
"Is there a door or something like that?" Lapis asked.
"Dunno" Jasper answered. "Let's check it out"
"Yeah, okay"
They walked to the mountain and examined it.

After a few minutes, they didn't find anything at all.
Jasper hit it with her fist angrily, and a door opened.
"Oh" she said.
"Oh" Lapis reacted.
Both of them walked in, Jasper had to bend over due to the low entrance.
They saw the cages, and when they looked into one of them, (Amethyst was laying in it) they noticed it would be hard to take them home, because they couldn't even stand.
Jasper walked to the cells in the back and saw Obsidian laying in one of them. She was hurt the worst of everyone.
"Obsidian" Jasper whispered.
"Jasper?" Obsidian asked as she pushed herself half up.
"Stay calm, we'll come save you"
"We?"
"Yeah, Lapis is here too" Jasper didn't seem so happy about it as she searched around the yellow barrier for a button. Not long after, she found one. She pressed it and the barrier disappeared. She jumped in and took Obsidian in her arms, bridal style.
Obsidian put her arms around Jasper's neck, not being able to do more.
Lapis had already started to free the other Gems, trying not to cry as she saw Obsidian and Jasper.
They freed the rest and walked off, to the warp pad. Lapis wondered why it went so smoothly, it shouldn't have, but she decided not to worry about it anymore.
But nobody noticed Zircon, looking at them, smiling.
