"Guys, if we are fast, we can still save him" Jasper said. "Form a chain. Everyone that can shapeshift, make your arms as long as possible. Amethyst, you catch Steven with your whip. You hold Pearl, she holds Garnet, she holds Obsidian and I'll hold Obsidian's hand and pull us in"
The rest nodded and they did as Jasper said.
After a few seconds, Amethyst called out: "reel us in!"
Jasper started pulling and not long after, everyone was in the moon base, including Steven.
Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst immediately hug-attacked him, Pearl and Amethyst were crying.
"Jasper, thank you so much!" Garnet said.
"Well, he saved my life before, so I had to do something" Jasper answered. "But we'd rather get going, they might have a way to come back"
"True" Obsidian said.
The Gems climbed in the ship, Jasper took the front seat and they flew to Earth.
A few minutes later, they landed in front of the barn.
Everyone came out of the ship.
"So..." Obsidian said. "Can Jasper stay?"
"We'll need to talk about that"
Suddenly, Lapis saw Jasper.
"What are you doing here?" she asked. "Trying to make me fuse with you again?"
"Nope. I'm going to live here" Jasper answered.
"Wait, what? Why?"
"Because I want to"
"And because I asked her to" Obsidian said
"But living here with you? I don't want you to live here. I hate you!"
"Well, she saved Steven"
"So?!" Lapis started to get really furious. "I. Hate. HER!!!"
"I don't care! I don't! I love her!" when the words left her mouth, she froze. Did she really say that?
Jasper looked at her. What did she just say? She loved her?
Obsidian suddenly turned and ran away.
"No, wait!" Jasper ran after her, but the black-skinned girl was much faster.
After a few hundred meters, Obsidian stopped. She had ran to the forest. She sat down underneath a tree and sighed. Why did she say that? Now Jasper probably hated her.
She buried her head into her knees and started to cry. Now she really hated herself. She would never be able to face Jasper again.
Suddenly, someone sat down next to her. "Hey, calm down" the person said. It was Jasper.
Obsidian looked up.
"Come on, don't cry. You know I can't stand it when you cry" she said.
"I... I'm sorry" Obsidian said
"No, don't be. It doesn't matter" Jasper put her arm around Obsidian's shoulder. "You know, I'm glad you said it. I was too weak to tell you"
"Tell me what?"
"I feel the same"
Obsidian looked at Jasper. "R-really?"
The warrior nodded. "I do"
Obsidian then put her arms around Jasper and smiled. Finally.
After a few minutes, Jasper stood up and helped Obsidian up.
They walked back to the barn, where the other Gems were waiting.
"We'll let you stay" Garnet said when they arrived.
"What?!" Lapis exclaimed.
"Yes!" Jasper and Obsidian said as they hugged eachother, but suddenly, they fused. They immediately broke it, but the others still saw it.
"What was that?" Pearl asked.
"Umm... Onyx?" Obsidian answered nervously.
"Another instable fusion? Like Malachite?"
"No, it's perfectly stable" Jasper said.
"But Obsidian, why would you fuse with her?"
"Because she loves her" Lapis said.
"What? Why?" Pearl exclaimed.
"I could ask you too why you loved Rose"
"She was good. And she was kind. And pretty. And strong"
"And she shattered Pink Diamond"
"One tiny mistake"
"You call shattering my Diamond a tiny mistake?" Jasper said loudly.
"But Pearl, I feel excactly the same about her" Obsidian interrupted her.
"Yeah, whatever. Calm down, you three" Amethyst said. "Let's go home"
