Chapter 18: Jamie

Everyone remained silent for a few seconds.
Jasper suddenly remembered what she did. "I... I-"
"Don't try to make it sound like it was all an accident!" Connie shouted. "I saw what you did! You poofed Amethyst! You tried to shatter her! You tried to shatter Steven! You tried to take over the world!"
Jasper didn't move. She knew it was true.
"Hey!" Obsidian shouted.
Connie looked at her.
"She isn't all bad! She helped save Steven, Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, Peridot, Pearl and me, while we were being tortured! She saved Steven twice! She built together with me a house!"
"But those things are nothing compared to the bad things she did! She is terrible!"
"No! She's the most kind, sweet, pretty, smart, cute, amazing and strong Gem I ever met and will ever meet!"
"No! She's the most dumb, weak, terrible, ugly-"
"Did you just call her ugly?!"
"Yes! She is so ugly even the ugliest person in the world will find her ugly!"
"She! Is! Not! Ugly!"
The two were standing, their heads against eachother's, their weapons had mysteriously appeared in their hands.
The other Gems were watching in horror.
Jasper was just standing, not moving. She was quite moved by Obsidian's words, actually. She realised how much the other Gem loved her, and how little she did to return that love. Jasper didn't deserve that much love. As she realised that, a gold-coloured tear rolled down her cheek and splattered on the ground.
The two girls stopped their fight immediately to look at her.
"Jasper, are you okay?" Obsidian asked.
The warrior looked at the small puddle her tear created. "I... I'm fine" she said softly.
Obsidian let her bow disappear, walked to Jasper and wrapped her arms around her body. "It will be okay" she softly whispered.
Connie blinked a few times. Was Jasper crying? Was the world going to end today? Or was she not as stupid as she seemed?
"Weren't we going to have a party?" Steven asked.
Then, before anyone could answer, the doorbell rang again. Steven opened it and saw Jamie, the postman.
"Jamie!" Steven exclaimed.
"Hey Steven" Jamie said. "Somebody bought a cake"
"That's mine" Jasper said.
Jamie walked a bit backwards at the sight of the tall warrior.
"Did you really buy a cake?" Amethyst asked, laughing.
"Yep, for tonight" Jasper answered. "You know, for desert. It had to be a surprise, but oh well. Now you know not to eat too much"
Jamie was still standing in the doorway, his mouth hanging wide open. It looked like he saw a ghost or a very pretty girl.
"I know that expression" Garnet said. "Sorry, she's already got a girlfriend"
Jamie's mouth fell close. "Who is it?" he asked.
Garnet pointed at Jasper.
Jamie immediately turned and walked away, almost falling down the stairs, because he was crying, making his sight go blurry.
The rest of the Gems stared after him, with puzzeled looks on their faces. Jamie's behaviour was quite strange.
Steven tried to run after Jamie, but tripped. Jasper immediately sprinted to him and caught him.
"See?!" Obsidian yelled. "She saved him again!"
"I guess she's okay then" Connie said. "But I still don't trust her"
"Sure, go ahead. As long as you won't try to kill her or me again, because if you harm her, I will not hestitate to murder you" Obsidian said coldly. It was clear she was serious.
Stefan jumped between Connie and Obsidian. "Weren't we going to have a party?" he asked.
"Indeed" Obsidian said, as kind as usual again. "I bought the newest Dogcopter movie on DVD, I was planning on letting you watch it, while Jasper and me are going to finish the food. After the movie you can eat dinner and then watch the newest Lonely Blade, we prepared some snacks, and then maby another movie, or you can play some games, and then to bed, but you can talk and do whatever you want. And around 8 P.M. I have a surprise. Sounds okay?"
"That sounds perfect!" Steven and Connie said.

I know, I know, this chapter sucked, but there are some important things for later (I think, idk yet)
And it hurt writing all those bad things about Jasper, since she is my favourite character. Well, enjoy the next chapter!
