Imagine: Going on vacation and Joker forgetting.

  You sat on your beach chair under an umbrella while reading a book. Today was vacation week. Which meant; no crime for a whole week. You got to sit back and relax and not worry about Batman showing up and taking you back to Arkham Asylum.

  You had your phone with you because you knew the Joker so well. He most likely forgot today was your day, and the rest of the week, and was going to call upset that you are no where to be found in the warehouse.

  As if reading your mind, your phone started ringing. You placed a book mark on the place you were reading and placed the book carefully on the sand. Without looking at who was calling you, you answered with a small 'hello'.

  "Where the hell are you? The bank isn't going to rob itself!" said a very anger Joker through the phone.

  You released a small sigh and continued to listen to the Joker go on and on about how you were gone and you should be at the warehouse finishing the missions he had ready for you. After a few minutes of the Joker talking he noticed how quiet you were.

  "Are you listening to me (y/n)?!" the Joker yelled again. You had placed the phone on the sand and put it on speaker so you could stop listening to him complain.

  "I'm listening Mister J. I figured you would forget." you said picking up the phone but not taking it off speaker.

  "Forget what?" said the Joker still mad but also confused.

  "Today is vacation week. Which means I won't be at the warehouse for a week. I told you about this last week babe." you said calmly and taking a sip of (favorite drink).

  The Joker stayed quiet and you only guessed he was thinking about what you said. You chuckled and had a faint smile on your face.

  "...I'll see you in a week." Joker quickly hung up and you started laughing for some reason. You had sent a quick text to Joker saying you loved him but got no reply.

  'I embarrassed him.' you thought to yourself still slightly laughing. This happens almost every time you go on vacation by yourself he always forgets and every time it's so funny. You knew he felt embarrassed about yelling at you and forgetting was your vacation week.

  You smiled and went back to reading (favorite book). A few minutes later you got a text back. You checked and smiled at the text.

  'I like you too.' was all the text said. You felt happiness bubble up in you still. It was the closest thing to 'I love you too'.
