"Brie (Mae and Lolly's pet name for Brian) I think Lolly has someone special na kaya lang ayaw pa nya ipakilala sa atin. Ly, introduce him to us naman," Meng kidded Lolly while winking at Brian.

"Why? Is she dating someone without telling you? Lolly is that true?" asked Brian.

They are strolling along SM By The Bay at MOA complex, the place they choose to hangout that weekend.

"Meng huwag kang gumawa ng kuwento, you know that is the last of my priorities dahil mas importante ang pangarap ko para sa pamilya ko. Baka ikaw yan Meng ang may dapat sabihin sa amin?" she teased back.

"Ano naman kaya yon, wala naman akong activities after office hours, laging uwi bahay agad, at lately madalas na lang umuwi magisa kasi iyong isang tao dyan laging may pinupuntahan na ayaw magsama. Nakakatampo na kaya."

"Hoy girl, I just don't want to bore you. I just need to help a friend who wanted to fix things in life and as I am sure this would be the least of your interest now, I prefer not to drag you along or involve you in it. Pahinga ka na lang sa bahay, oh di ba ang bait kong kaibigan at nakakahurt na di naapreciate ang concern ko."

Meng just rolled her eyes and said, "Oh! Sige na nga para sa kaibigan lang pala, at thanks friend alam ko naman loves mo ko. I am just excited na magkalove life ka na di ba Brie?"

"Kayong dalawa talaga but Ly,  just like Meng here, I will also be pleased to see you happy with your someone special. Kala mo excited na itong si Menggay na makilala ang special friend mo daw. Now if her hunches is right, as your best friends we want to meet him too to confirm if he really is the Mr. Right for you," seconded Brian.

Lolly looked at Brian seriously. "Don't get carried over by Meng's illusions. Paano nyo nasabi na lalaki ang pinagkakaabalahan ko? Me inaasikaso lang po akong ngayon dahil umaasa po ako na sana mapasaya and isang taong importante sa akin."

"Wow whoever that person is, we hope you and that other one the best of happiness," concluded Brian smiling.

"Ly, don't worry, just like what Brian said, I will be very happy too, so if you found someone worth caring then go, go, go. Brie and I will always be behind you."

"That's it exactly. I want you to be very happy." Agreed Lolly.

"So ipakilala mo na sya sa amin?" pangungulit ni Meng.

"Sa tamang panahon Meng, makikilala at malalaman mo rin." Lolly promised.

It's Saturday evening and since it's their rest day the following day, Meng and Lolly are still up when it's supposed to be past bedtime. Meng is into her books while Lolly is busy with her laptop when out of the blue Lolly asked Meng.

"Meng can I ask you something?"

Meng looked up from the book she is reading and turned her head towards Lolly who is setting on the other bed adjacent to her own. 

 "Regarding what?"

"A bit personal but would it be okay for you if I'll be a bit nosy?"

"Oo naman, iyon lang pala."

"How are you? I mean, have you totally moved on now? Masaya ka na ba? You can't deny it that you feel so miserable when you came here"

"Of course. I am happy now and I am grateful with you and Brian for that. You two made it easy for me to discard all unwanted memories behind."

"If you won't mind friend, I am just curious. You told me you lost your trust on your ex-boyfriend, why?"

"He lied and betrayed me?"

"How? I mean how did you know he deceived you? Did you witness it personally or rather by what means did you discover his mischief?"

"Not personally but I have a couple of evidences that he cheated on me."

"What? Are you sure those are true, I mean are they solid ones?

"Yes, a wrong sent text message and a video?"

"And did you confront him or demanded an explanation?"

"No need, they are solid confirmations of his deceptions, besides I don't have the willpower to face him.  I don't want to see him for I may not stand it anymore."

"But isn't it unfair that you had not let him expound the possible circumstances why it happened?"

"I may still be not so knowledgeable in relationship goals, but I am no half-wit not to recognize the meanings of what I have read and seen."

"How did you come to know these, I mean how did you get these?"

"I received these through the cellphone he gave to me on our fifth monthsary. The first was a text message he inadvertently sent to me instead of to her other woman and the second one is his video with a woman from an unknown source. I left this phone together with all the things he gave me with my cousin to be returned to him."

"Sorry, to hear and for asking these Meng, I just want to know if how are you now for I really want that life will turn out brighter for you this time. I want you to be truly happy friend."

"Don't worry Lolly, I am now stronger and I am grateful to you and Brian for helping me recoup faster."

"Glad that you're okay now Meng. But fate plays a cruel joke on us at times and things we assume to be are sometimes not what they appear to be. I am praying for you happiness friend."

"And I want you to be happy too, so, if there is someone who is interested in you now, I do hope he will be someone who will really make you happy too."
