C14-ROAD 2 4EVER : C14.1 - MENG'S POV

It's been three years since that Resort Reconciliation. After that incident, I still continued working at the hotel but this time at the Resort itself for when there was a vacancy at the Finance Department I was considered for the position. I love the place so much compared to our Manila office as you can feel nature surrounding you.

This had not been a problem in our renewed relationship as RJ had made it a practice to book at the resort at least a couple of days monthly and we are either on the phone, or on video everyday hence, distance don't seem to matter anymore. What puzzles me is why he has not objected to this set up and seems to favor or encourage me that working here is ideal. However, I already learned my lesson and decided to trust him, his actions and decisions.

A couple of days ago, he requested me to file a vacation leave for one week as there is a celebration in his family and said that it is a must that I would be there, so are Lolly and Brian. So we filed a one week vacation leave and are now on our way to the airport for our flight back to my uncle's province.

RJ meet us at the airport and I thought he will be bringing us directly to my uncles' place as he is aware that I won't be comfortable staying in their home which he has also agreed. But as we were travelling, I noticed that we are passing an unfamiliar but seems like a mini Baguio backdrop route. The surroundings we passed showcased nature at its barely untouched stage. When I asked him about this he just smiled and told me to get some rest.

Less than an hour later, I feel someone tugging at me gently and realized that I had somehow dozed off along the way. When I opened my eyes I realized that our car had stopped and we are on an elevated place surrounded by breathtaking sceneries and strategically scattered buildings which clearly indicate that we are in a resort village.

Lolly and Brian was so impressed by the place that they were so excited.

"Are we going to stay here? Isn't this a bit far from the city where your house is, and why spend when we could stay at my uncles' houses?" I asked RJ.

"This is just less than an hour car's drive to the city proper and don't worry this is free?" he answered.

"Free for us, but you will be paying it, no need, please just bring us to uncle's place they already know that we are coming" I said.

"Yes they know that you're coming and you'll be staying here so please Love, stop arguing."

He then led us to the first building which obviously housed the lobby and the lady at the counter told him. "Sir your rooms are all ready and we will just bring your luggage to your respective rooms."

We were ushered to two, two bedrooms suites and sensing that I was about to object he promptly covered my mouth with his hands and said "Love pagod na tayo, let's just rest to be refreshed for tomorrow's adventure." Brian and I will stay on one suite and you and Lolly on the other one."

It was late afternoon, so we took an almost two hours of sleep then RJ fetched us for a simple dinner at the resort's coffee shop, then back again to our rooms.

Lolly went to her room immediately and RJ and I just talked about random things while he was hugging me closely from behind and as usual with me reclining on his chest while his head rest on my shoulder as we are comfortably settled in the large sofa of the suite's receiving area. An hour later he told me to go to bed to have a good night sleep after claiming a brief but passionate kiss.
