Ch.17 What Now?

Five days had passed since the fight with Jiraiya. Five days Ruka was in the hospital unconscious. Five days to figure out what to do next. So far, nothing.

I walked into my new house, where Hinata was preparing dinner. The room was filled with the smell of fresh warm food.

"Mmmm.....something smells good!" I hugged Hinata from behind, placing my hands on top of her bump. I felt a kick.

"Did you feel that Hinata?!" Hinata laughed.

"She is inside of me Naruto. How can I not feel it?" She turned around facing me. I felt the baby kick again. I laughed.

"I know now that she will become even stronger than me!" We stood there for a few minutes feeling for more kicks or movements. When we were sure it ended, Hinata got back to cooking, and I sat at the dinner table.

"How's Ruka doing?" Hinata asked me. I had told her that she recovering in the hospital leaving out the coma part. My throat tightened.

"Good. She heals fast like her father." I tried to sound casual.

Hinata knew it was a lie.

"Really? Then why did Sakura come this morning telling me that Ruka was in a coma!" She said raising her voice when she said ruka was in a coma.

I flinched at her voice level. I never knew she can get this loud before. "Well, we sort of ran into Pervy Sage who was brought back with edo tensei." I said sinking back into my chair.

I heard her gasp. "I'm going to visit Ruka this afternoon." She said and went back to cooking. I sighed. I never was too good at lying. Hinata always knew when I lied because she used to follow me around a lot of times when we were little. I was so stupid to not notice.

"Ow!" A plate crashed to the floor. I quickly turned to Hinata.

"What happened?" I asked worried while getting up and rushing to her.

"I think the baby is coming!" She said between gasps. I panicked. Never had I panicked this much since the chuunin exams the first minute I realized we had to do a written exam.

"Lets go! Can you walk?" She nodded quickly. "Ok. Come on slowly. Or do you want me to teleport?"

"Teleport please! I don't know how much I can hold on." I teleported us to the hospital as fast as I could. Smoke poofed out and we found ourselves at the hospital.

"Hokage-sama?! What happened?" A nurse saw me and asked.

"My wife is about to have the baby before the oringinal time! Can you help?" I said with clear panic in my voice.

"Of course! I'll get Sakura-sama right this instance! Please follow them to a room sir!" She motioned for two people to came and take us to a room.

"Thank you!" I walked with Hinata and the other nurses.

A white bed was in the middle of a room painted completely white. Curtains hung for privacy. We placed Hinata on the bed. She was obviously holding in the screams.

Minutes passed and I was starting to lose my patience.

"Where is Sakura?!" I yelled.

"I'm right here Naruto!" The door swung open for Sakura. She ran towards Hinata. When she finished checking her, she barked orders at the others. They nodded and ran off.

"Naruto, I need you to leave." Sakura told me without turning around.

"No way! I'm staying!" I was going to say more but Sakura had very little patience with me.
