Ch.23

heads up short chap!

Yvonne's POV

I stopped walking and see that Misaki's battle was over. She summoned Mason. He is one of the strongest in our clan. Well, second to me of course. Ruka was by the river cleaning her hair as Shunsuke kept bothering her to check on Misaki.

"Then go then!" Ruka seemed a bit annoyed. Suddenly, Takashi came out of the woods with Misaki laying in his arms. Shunsuke ran to them and immediately took Misaki. Ruka stared at him shocked. I knew what she was thinking.

'Ruka?' I asked her.

'It's nothing Yvonne. Just....thinking......' She told me. Her thoughts cracked while talking. I tried to comfort her but she just kept staring at Shunsuke who was already taking Misaki towards the river to wake her up. Her eyes were closed but strained. Takashi crept towards them and started using his medical ninjutsu to heal her.

Her eyes started to flutter open and her Sharingan was no longer on. 

'Hey Yvonne.' I heard a familiar voice inside my head. I turn around and see Mason walking to me.

'Hello Mason.' I smirked.

'Where have you been all this time Princess?' He started but I knocked him to the ground before he could say anymore.

'Shut it! Ruka might be listening! And to where I was......is none of your concern.' I said as I got off him.

'You are the sstrongest in our clan Prince-' I gave him a glare. 'Yvonne. We need you back. Chaos has returned.' Her said serious. I gave him a shocked expression. Chaos? He has come back? My paws started to feel wobbly. As if they would give at any moment. Mason came closer and supported me. 'We need you.' He said with puppy dog eyes. I hated that.

'I can't them Ruka here. I'll go once she signs the contract.' I summoned a scroll and called Ruka over. Mason left leaving me and her alone.

"What's up Yvonne?" She asked.

'I know you already have a contract with the toads, but would you mind making one with me?' I asked. The moment she signs I would be able to speak to any human, including any other clan member who has a human partner. This would surely attract Chaos. 'But when you do, I must leave for a while. You may summon me at anytime of course.'

Ruka considered it and nodded. The scroll opened and Ruka bit her thumb. She spread the blood to all her fingers and signed her name. She then imprinted her fingerprints on the bottom. I felt my mouth as if were unglueing itself and tried to talk.

"Can you hear me?" I said actually talking. Ruka fell back in shock and then nodded. I laughed and told Mason. He tried it and his voice came out really low while mine was kind of high. I remembered that I had to go and called Mason over.

"Ruka, we must go. Please excuse Yvonne and me." Mason said in his new deep masculine voice. He was just a cub and he already had a lion's voice.

"It's ok. Say good bye to Misaki though Mason." He nodded and said goodbye. Misaki waved a little shocked and weak. I felt guilty and just had to give Ruka a hug. Her long blonde hair wrapping itself around my head already washed.

'Thank you for taking care of me that day.' I thought to her and she nodded. Because I recieved a partner, all telepathy talks are strictly between companions. I loved that. 

I let go of Ruka and me and Mason teleported back to Mount Reona. I gasped as my eyes widened.

Fires were everywhere, burnt houses were smashed to pieces and little cubs were scattered injured and dead.

"Princess Yvonne and her little brother, Prince Mason. What a pleasure." A too familiar voice came from behind. I turned quickly blocking a punch from Chaos. He was a big lion with scars all over his body and an eyepatch over his right eye. His fur was crimson red, a sign of disgrace in the Leona clan. Being born with crimson red fur was a sign of evil, and any cub born with that was sentence to death, with no mercy. Chaos survived. His name was plastered in Legend Boards in all sense.

"I have come back to finish you once and for all." I declared and made him laugh.

"You aren't strong enough." He said and pushed me back. Another lion approached Mason and knocked him out. Chaos appeared behind me and knocked me out. He tied me up and dragged me away from Mason. "I am......." Chaos started to say but I fully passed out before he finished.
