Ch.24 Feelings

As I walked, I felt empty. I guess that making the contract connected our feelings. I wasn't a 100% which was unusual. Misaki must have been feeling the same becuase her pace had slowed. Her first fight with Mason and thats it.

"Misaki? Are you ok?" Shunsuke asked concerned. At that moment I felt sad. I thought about Nagato and mom and dad. Dad probably expected this. Uncle Sasuke needed my help, but the more I continued this mission, the less certain I became.

"Yeah. Just tired." Misaki responded.

"You shouldn't push yourself to hard. Your injuries aren't fully healed." Takashi told her.

"I'm fine." She ended the conversation. Her pigtails were falling apart and her silvery hair hasn't been brushed in days now. I stopped and took out the brush I made eariler and handed it to her.

"I don't need it." She refused.

"Yes you do. Trust me. I'll help you. There aren't any mirrors out in the woods." I glanced at Takashi for back up.

"She's right. Plus, were almost to the border. After that, we would have to cross Sunagakure since we can't travel by boat." Takashi helped. She gave in and grabbed the brush.

I walked with her to a nearby river and started brushing her hair.

"I'm sorry." She said.

"For what?" I asked curious.

"I know howw you feel about Shunsuke. Truth is, he's too old for me. And I already have a love." I felt relieved. 

"I know. But I'm worried about when you leave. How will he react." I confessed. "I always liked him. Goro always teased me about it. Risa was less help at all."

"Funny thing is, I don't think I will ever be able to leave." I stopped brushing her hair and she tensed.

"I know you're not from this time. Kakashi sensei hasn't had kids yet. So how do you plan on going back?"I said a little more aggressive then I wanted it to.

"I don't know." She said finally.

"Guys! We better get moving!" Takashi yelled. Her hair was smooth and more natural without pigtails. We got up and walked over to them. We saw Shunsuke and Takashi taking a fighting stand while ninjas surrounded them.

"Look at their headbands." Misaki whispered. I did and saw that they were from the hidden cloud. I understood and raised my arms. The boys looked at me shocked.

"Good girls." They seemed female but they had a very tight grip. I actually didn't think that I would be able to escape if they kept holding me. But no one can guard 24 hours. I immediatly started creating a plan and ignored everything around me.

Yvonne's POV

Light shimmered over me. Feeling weak, I tried to stand up. I managed and saw Mason laying next to me. I looked around and concluded that I was in the dungeon.

"Stupid Chaos." I muttered. No matter how powerful he is or how smart he is in battle, he will never understand basics. He all complex.

The dungeon was built by my family and the blueprints were passed down from heir to heir. I was lucky enough to examine the prints before I left. I nudged Mason and eventually woke him up.

"Yvonne? Are you ok?" He whispered.

"Ya. How bout you?" 

"Yes. How will we get out of her?"

"I know. First we need to get out of these chains." I lift my paw showing him the metal chains around our wrists. 

"Ok. Any ideas?" I thought and came up with one.

"Whistle."

"What?"

"Just whistle." I commanded and he started whistling. I got to work and bit the chains. He stopped but I gestured for him to continue. As he continued, my teeth started getting sharper and sharper. Soon a loud noise filled the room. Luckily, Mason kept whistling and getting louder. He finally understood. Then, the chains broke in my mouth. I flinched for the metal stung as it flew in different directions.

"You did it!" Mason exclaimed.

"I know. Now your turn." We did the same process and were soon free.

"Now how do we get out of here?" He asked. The walls were tall and there was little light. We searched around but found nothing. Suddenly, Mason started sniffing the floor.

"What are you doing?" I asked. He didn't reply and I just let him be.

"Found it!"

Ruka's POV

We soon reached a village that I easily knew was the Cloud Village. Misaki was in deep concentration and tripped on her own two feet. I rushed to catch her but the lady held me back while her kidnapper catched her.

"Don't worry. We aren't heartless." She said.

"Thanks. Then where are you taking me?" I asked.

"Somewhere painful." I sweatdropped. She claims to be nice but I bet she built the place herself.

"Nice to know."
