~Chapter Ten: No News

I've heard no news what so ever on what's happening with Mum. And to be quite honest it's quite slack and it's really pissing me off. I've had no contact from the Hospital and it's infuriating. My questions have been unanswered and I'm left with even more questions than before. I'm avoiding the long trip out to the Hospital but now I'm starting to feel agitated and anxious. I need to know how Mum is doing.
The sun is streaming through the cracks in the curtains. I have no energy what so ever to get out of bed. I don't see the point considering I don't have to go to school anymore because of Mum. According to Gina "I'm unstable and need to be away from everything", her words not mine. So I have taken my new found freedom and I am finishing my drawing of Entei. I told Luke to tell Mr Norris that I am not performing n the end if year performance. I wonder what his reaction is going to be...
"You okay Jesse??" Gina asks softly as she sits next to me on the bed.
"I think so. I'm not really sure." I mumble as I fumble with the sheet.
"Okay. Well I'm going into town today. Wanna come??"
"Sure. I'll go have a shower and get changed and then I'll be right out." I say with a small smile. As Gina leaves the room, I climb out of bed and gather some clothes to wear today.
---------------
Combing through my wet hair, I pull it up into a loose ponytail. Pulling on my jeans and socks, I tie up the laces on my white converse. Adjusting my tank top, I check my reflection in the mirror. All evidence of dark circles and bags are eliminated from the amount of foundation I'm wearing.
"Ready to go??" Gina asks.
"Yup." I say with half enthusiasm. The bulge of money pokes out from my back pocket and is becoming uncomfortable as I walk towards the car. Pulling out the multiple notes, I stuff them into the front pocket of my jeans. Hopefully it'll be more comfortable. Why I didn't grab a wallet I don't know.
Slamming the car door shut, the engine roars to life and we exit the driveway. I click my seat-belt and watch the suburbs pass bye. Lots of trees. The time, according to the clock in the car, says it's 1:13.pm. This is early for me. Like really early.
"Do you have any idea on what you want to do this afternoon??" Gina asks breaking the silence.
"No not really. Maybe another tattoo or piercing. Maybe some new clothes. I haven't really thought about it." I reply honestly. My gaze is focused on the scenery that passes bye quickly. I don't really feel like talking to anyone at the moment but I can't tell Gina that. I can be horrible sometimes but I'm not mean enough to kill Gina's buzz.
We pull into the parking lot and enter the shopping center. The atmosphere is welcoming and happy but I don't feel happy. Pressing further into the mall, Gina pulls me into a tattoo parlour.
"Time for you to get some new ink." She mutters as the door closes. A woman whose arms are covered in coloured ink greets us.
"Hey guys!! Can I help you??"
"Sure. My niece here wants a new tattoo." Gina says as I stand there dumbfound. Since when??
"Okay. Hey hon. Have any idea's on what you want??" The tattoo artist asks.
"Not really." I comment sheepishly. Normally I charge inside one of these shops and have the design already planned out. Not today.
"Well take a look around and maybe you'll get some inspiration." The artist says kindly.
