~Chapter Seven: Grounded Art and Tears
Roar_Jungle ©~
It's Saturday!!! But I'm grounded for the weekend because I wagged classes. Oh well. It was worth it. Of course Luke showed Gina, Beau and Jai the video he took in Music, and the praise they gave out was extremely nice, even though Jai is still pissed at me. Luke deleted it straight after he showed his brothers and Mother. He didn't mention the art work he saw either, which surprised me. But of course the school rang and blabbed to Gina about how I was absent from school. How fun!!
So here I am, sitting at the kitchen table while the boys are watching television with Skip and James. I was warned that they are going to be around a lot, so I'm going to steer clear of them and their 'boy' time.
My pencil glides over the page as I outline my Art homework which was uttered over the phone to Gina. I hate homework so much. I mean Art homework isn't so bad, because I like to draw, but I just ugh, I hate homework like every other normal teenager.
I was told to think up a Fiction character and create an Artwork, so I am completing my picture of Entei. It seems easy enough, but damn is it hard!! I can't get his tail in the right position and I've lost count on how many times I've used my eraser in the past ten minutes.
"Ugh." I groan as I throw the pencil onto the table. It clatters and then rolls to a stop. Why is this so frustrating?? If I wasn't so OCD this would be fine. I would have finished ages ago.
"Alright there??" Jai asks as he pours a glass of milk.
"Just dandy thanks." I reply sarcastically as I massage my temples.
"What are you working on??"
"Nothing important." I mutter as I pick up the pencil again.
"Well it must be if you're getting frustrated." Jai comments. Rolling my eyes, I push the pad across the table so he can look at my art work. "Wow. This is free-hand??" He asks intrigued.
"Yep." Silence follows as my younger cousin studies my work.
Ten more minutes have passed and Jai is still staring at the piece of paper.
"Do you hate me??" I ask quietly.
He looks at me for a moment before he begins to laugh. He's laughing at me?! Me?!
My eyebrows crease into a frown and I snatch the pad out of his hands. Collecting my drawing utensils, I storm out of the kitchen and head towards my bedroom.
Slamming the bedroom door closed, I collapse back on my bed while grumbling profanities.
Who the fuck does he think he is?! Laughing at me while I asked a serious question?! What a motherfucker.
Rolling onto my stomach, I bury my head in my arms. Closing my eyes, I can feel the gravitational pull of sleep.

I jolt awake as I hear a bark from outside the door. Did I fall asleep??
Rubbing my hands on my face, I get up from my comfortable position. Opening the door a smidge, I glance down the hallway. The flicker of the television screen lights up the corridor. The laughing of the boys is carried to me. A cold breeze tussles my hair and I can't help the shiver that trails down my spine.
Trailing down the hallway, the cold wood freezes the soles of my socked feet. Leaning on the door-frame, I focus my eyes on the TV programme that they are watching.- Punk'd. What?? This crappy show?? I mean they seem highly amused and everything but really??
