Chapter Sixteen : May I step in

Kylo's POV - -

I felt the moment intensifying. She moved foward and closed her eyes. I started to do the same. I felt her get closer I felt my want. The want , the need for her.

I was about to kiss her.

"May I step in Kylo. After all she is my date."

"Yes, yes of course Finn. Where's Gwen?"

"Over at my parents table." I stepped away from Rey. I looked at her. She looked confused. Sad even.

I walked over to my parents table.

"Ben what's wrong?" Mom asked.

"Oh nothing. I'm gonna go mother, I'll stop by the hotel tomorrow. "

" okay." I walked off to find Gwen.

"Gwen?" She got up, " you ready? "

Rey's POV - -

As I danced with Finn I could only focus on Kylo. I watched him walked away. And through all the people, I watched him leave.

The Night was long. And no fun at all. Something felt missing. I only followed conversations and entered when spoken to.

"Rey? You ready to go. It's getting late."

"Ya." I said as I got up. I followed Finn out.

The ride to my house was silent. He stopped out front.

"Thank you Rey. For helping me to get through that. "

" Ya." He got out and open my door and walked me to my house. I turned to open the door.

"Rey." I turned to face him and he kissed me. It was quick. I tucked in my lips.

"Finn. I... I don't feel that way about you. I have and will and do only think of you as a friend. Nothing more. I'm sorry Finn."

He looked disappointed.

"Good night Rey."

"Night." He walked to his car and drove away.

I walked in and locked the door.

"Well?"

"Well what?"

"How was it Rey?"

"Oh." I sat down on the couch and took off my heels. "Fine."

"Anything memorable?"

"I danced with Kylo."

"Oh? I thought Finn was your date?"

"Well he was off talking with people. But the weird thing is, with Kylo, I felt like myself. Like there was nothing missing. No one else mattered."

Poe smiled." You like him."

"If I do I didn't notice it till now. There's just something about him, like I have seen him before. I already know him." Poe smiled again. "Poe! Why are you smiling."

"Someday. You will find out."

"What? Oh never mind." I grabbed my heels and went upstairs. For the rest up the night I thought of him. And what I felt. I almost kissed him.
